Any real world reviews on FK springs?

Has anyone used FK springs on their Clio? Particularly interested on Mk3's? Not after a "I've heard they're bad" response. I'm wanting factual information please. :clown:

If only it was a saloon or an Estate....

Very popular mod, the 3.0. It was the titanium theme in the GSI's. Matching effect on the speedo surround, switch surround, heater surround, and gearstick surround. Oh, and the gearknob insert too. Very rare items included the handbrake lever. 2.6's had a solid metal polished gearknob.

You mean Burton Dassett! :rasp: Yeah, it's only a few miles up the road from me, as I'm out in Mollington. I go fly my kite up there! :D

Keeping up? Not a chance! :D I'll have to stop less than you though for fuel. ;)

What do you say to people who call your car a 'girls car'?

Cry and run away to my friends for sympathy, to which one will say grow up. A small cat fight with name calling will ensue, and we won't talk to each other for weeks.

Ahhh, ok. In my Vectra now I have a kenwood headunit which I'll probably sell. I've just plugged my ipod thru the AUX connection, and likewise charged it thru the fag lighter. Just wondered if anyone had any different setups. :)

Nice Trophy in Banbury on Bankside at about 8.30 tonight....

Cheers fella. Will probably have a few questions at some point! :D I was attracted by the tax/ insurance side. Better than my thirsty V6 by far! I'm not into slamming cars suspension-wise, but I'd like to drop it probably 45mm?

I was under the impression it wasn't a great standard HU. Is there a way of charging and playing my ipod thru the standard HU? I guess something like a Connects2.

I saw he wasn't on here. I'm picking up a Mk3 DCi 86 Dynamique in what I believe is Oyster Grey? Got some Megane Nervasports in the garage that need a refurb, and then got to decide on how big a drop, and what spacers to get. I live in Mollington, but work in Adderbury, so I commute across...

If only it was a saloon or an Estate....

Depends what you use. Remus centres (like I have on my 2.5) are quite raspy, but once warmed up they're not bad. 2.6 engine note is pretty much the same really. Depends on the backbox too. Most go for the Double D as the Letterbox is a bit more restricted. Magnex is a popular centre section...

    CS vs Food Meat

What's so special about the burger then? In terms of it's size, I'd polish that meal off no worries.

If only it was a saloon or an Estate....

If that was the job I was buying a car for, I'd rather spend it on a Saab, or a VAG.

If only it was a saloon or an Estate....

Mine doesn't! Or won't at least. Hehe. The clio will handle better out the box though, whereas the Vectra needs money throwing at it. I can see where you're coming from though. The estates were my fave. My 2.5 was pretty good, but still, went wrong more than a car should.

If only it was a saloon or an Estate....

Oh I'll agree, if I was to pick one, the GSI would top the lot, but at the end of the day, they're cheaply built and go wrong horrendously sometimes. I can't see why anyone would pay that much for a Vectra. As for tax, you're right. Still, the late ones are £270 a year. According to Parkers...

If only it was a saloon or an Estate....

Hahaha. In your opinion Daniel. You can pick up Vectra C's now for less than that. Plus don't these fall into the ridiculous tax bracket too?
  23. JP83

If only it was a saloon or an Estate....

It's a Vectra for a start. Having owned mine for 5 and a half years, I would never, ever, pay that much for one. Just because someone is willing to pay that much for it, doesn't make it a good price. There's a legendary thread on VVOC, of someone who sold one for £10k only a year or so back...

If only it was a saloon or an Estate....

Massively over priced. Even with that low mileage. I wouldn't have another. Rust buckets, and expensive to maintain. Parts are dirt cheap, but they fail so often.

£259 increase to add lowering springs!!

Likewise. I'm changing from the Vectra to the Clio. It's £90 cheaper for a start, at £250. Then, non-performance mods are free. A remap would cost me £60 more. Win!
