    Ph1 172 for 5k

Extortionate. Especially as Scott's is more or less the same money and is more or less brand new! There's a 56k ph1 172 on Facebook for £800! Lol.

    New Seats

Look lovely! And the 197 wheel finishes it off a treat. Well done.

    RENAULT DCI

Most Renault DCi's have died so I'd imagine the forum has withered a little! There are some VERY knowledgeable people on here though. Graham S and Alex W have helped me no end.

    Poly/Plastic Windows

Someone off here. They came from plastics4performance originally though.

    Poly/Plastic Windows

There is nothing in/on my door. Door cars off, mechanism and wiring out, all metal cut out, poly carb riveted on. Door weighs about the same as a can of coke! Lol

    Poly/Plastic Windows

    No. Who said they have??

    Poly/Plastic Windows

I've got them on mine, massive weight saving. The only thing I will say, they scratch very very easily. So every time you clean them you're damaging them.

    Anyone know this 197?

My mate is in the market for a 197. He wants recaros, would prefer black and it will do 2/3 track days a year. This seems to fit the bill. Anyone know it? http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201504132562747?atmobcid=soc4

    Tips for changing engine mounts.

Lump of wood and a trolley jack to lift the engine a bit. (On the sump) Make sure you un-clip the fuel lines (by the top mount) to avoid snapping any clips. Other than that, normal tool kit. Gearbox mount is fiddly but nothing more. Dogbone mount is a piece of cake.

Type of paint on a 1962 Rover P5

Tar and glue remover can cause older paints to quite literally fall off.

Type of paint on a 1962 Rover P5

My Orion was base coat only and after some GTecniq P1, some SRP, some hydro 2 and a good coat of illusion, it looked brand new for about a year!

Type of paint on a 1962 Rover P5

DA will be fine mate. Just use something like SRP or triple first to clean it up then work from there upwards. I wouldn't use cutting compound or anything like that though. You never know what's been painted and by who!

Type of paint on a 1962 Rover P5

It will probably be base coat only so for a start I wouldn't use a rotary. At least not unless you've got massive testicles.

What is your next car & why?

That is a piss poor excuse. Unless of course you're planning on completing on a new house purchase in the next three months? No? Oh. So you could buy an RS3. If prices stay dormant, you're onto a winner. If they go up, double bubble.

How can you not justify something that's going up in value? Are you special needs?

What is your next car & why?

I just love them. Now I work with Porsche/BMW's all day I have no desire to own anything expensive what so ever! Give me cheap fun hatchbacks any day of the week.

What is your next car & why?

No. I've never said that. :S Nimbus 197, xenons and climate control. H&R springs, spacers, tail pipe trims, Boom!

What is your next car & why?

I really like them. The driving position is better than a 182, the seats and steering wheel are much nicer, and out if the box they're better on track IMO. It's a long way off yet, but it needs to be done.

A quick search on here shows it was flood damaged and had a second hand engine fitted in 2013.

Lol, our financial situations are so far apart! You ordered AST's today, last week I bought a second hand shock for £10. LOL!

    Cub's Bargain E90 330i SE

We just both use my Clio if we're on our own/doing any running around. It's so cheap to run that it could balance out a Veyron! Yeah Euro have fucked up my last two oil filters. One for the mini and one for the Clio. Never had an issue with them before so hoping it's a one off!

    Cub's Bargain E90 330i SE

I'm back in the 6 cylinder BMW club now boyo! Feels good to be back. (The fuel consumption doesn't feel so good though...) How did you get on with the spark plugs? I did them on my 330 E46 and one of them was a right t**t to do!

Yes you said. But what model?

    No Outside Temp reading

I've only ever seen a false reading as a way if determining a faulty sensor. Never seen one just go blank.
