Lovely car.
With regard to the photos, get yourself a 58mm Circular Polarising Filter (assuming you’re using the 18-55mm kit lens), this will eliminate unwanted glare on the windscreen etc and it deepens/saturates the colours. Also take a look at more Automotive photography work online and try...
Depends which one you’re looking at, the Sigma like is used in these is circa £500-600, whereas the Canon 35mm F1.4L is nearly double the price of the Sigma in some places. Neither are cheap though lol.
Yep, I do it regularly for something to do. You can get some good results.
I would, but I have this itching for something with a faster aperture and a red ring on it ;)
I know what you mean, I went out in one at full chat around Oulton Park a few weeks ago driven by ex-touring car driver Andy Middlehurst and was quick to say the least lol.
Yeah, I’d have a 135mm F2 if it wasn’t for me thinking that my 70-200 can pretty much do what it does nearly as good...
Lovely photos. That GTR must have been getting on to be lifting a front wheel in that first photo lol.
Those 35mm F1.4 shots are making me consider one for mine, but I’m saving for something to replace my Sigma 50mm F1.4 at present.
That photo doesn’t appear to be all that sharp because of the panning, that said the slightly turning angle of the car can make panning tricky at times as I’ve found out when I’ve shot motorsport etc.
The exposure seems to be spot on, the composition isn’t bad either. It just needs to be...
Yeah we can do that if we can find a base car, for these I was sat in the boot of each car doing around 15mph with the boot lid open. I’ll PM you with an idea I’ve just had actually.
Cheers, Eddie! Hopefully I can maintain this progression. We’ll have to do some more of yours once it’s up an running in a few months or so :)
Cheers, Joe :)
No surprise about the press usage, quite a few of the Alien Green cars were used for press purposes, the one that Jason Plato drove on fifth gear was at a garage not too far from me a while back.
I have noticed a few changes back to better ways recently, I think it’s probably down to the feedback section where people are just constantly slating it.
Cheers, everyone :)
Cheers. Currently semi-professional, so I do shoots for a small amount of money, within the next few years I'll become a pro if all goes well :)
I'm more than happy to shoot your car, only problem being that you're in Carlisle so it's the distance.
Cheers. I'll know if...
So yesterday we got these two together for a shoot, my last attempt was done some time ago and I wasn’t really very pleased with the results - so we have brought the AG and UR 200s together again for some photos.
Here are the results -

I’m not sure that I’d chance a lens with so much dust, it could be quite restricting should you want to stop it down for fear of it all showing up. What lens is it? Could you not get a better copy?
