Quick update...
I popped down to the unit earlier to swap over the punctured wheel on the Superb.
I’d forgotten to take the heater control panel for the Clio with me, but I wanted to run the car for as long as possible to see whether the fan would cut in.
After doing a few temperature...
First time I’ve seen this thread, but this is the joy of old threads being brought up to date as I’ve just read the entire thread and cried at the thought of my son passing away as this is something I’d almost certainly do too.
Much respect Colin and I hope we see more pictures in 2018 of your...
February Update...
Well, February has been great... NOT!!
Well, it has for the Clio, but not the Superb!!
On the 11th I hit a crater and I got taken to the unit like this...
With be total honesty, the recovery lad was bloody quick to arrive.
I’d reported the puncture at 02:55am
I then got...
JESUS!! This has gone through a series of seriously insane processes!
No wonder my project doesn’t get a comment! There’s loads of extreme stuff happening elsewhere on the forum 😂
2018 HUGE UPDATE!
Part 1
Right guys, so in December work started to die down and I was able to do a little to the car, however, my enthusiasm died as it was freezing down the unit and it just began getting harder to push myself to go down there.
Work was really quiet in January still, so I...
Hi mate, welcome to the forum, I’m a local lad and I’m wondering “do you work there” where your car is parked in this photo?
If I’m right in thinking where that is, you are just around the corner
(I won’t mention for security reasons) but once you’ve got enough posts, feel free to send...
Just read all of this... it was a rather good read actually.
As for your roof box rattling around it could be a number of things
1) Items in the box - try laying a thick blanket in the box first.
2) not being tight enough to the bars - try a few washers
3) the box is clanging on the bars -...
Saw these pop up on instagram! Wondered where you'd purchased them from... I'm now on the hunt myself...off to German eBay :tongueout:
MKe sure you count the threads as I'll need to know for when mine arrive 😂
My wife has just said...
"I genuinely can't wait for it to go BRAAAAAAP TISSSSH... BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP TISSSSSSSHHHH"
😂😂😂
:fearscream: SHE WANTS IT TURBO'D!!!!:hearteyes::hearteyes:
Thanks lad
I’d just followed the “DESTRUCTIONS” and by the picture it looked about right...but I’ll be sure to sort this when I’m next down the unit.
Thanks again
This is certainly on my agenda as I can get it to my unit and even if it’s an engine out jobby, I do not mind.
I’m not the best person for engine advice... so this noise really isn’t something I can diagnose myself.
My thinking is even if the engine is dead, it’s a rebuild or replacement.
Hi all
I’ve had a 182 offered to me with this engine noise...
What do you think it will be?
It could be a perfect car to run alongside the 172 track car! So I’m rather interested in knowing what it might be.
Apparently it’s had a recent service and started making this noise after the...

Hi all just thought I’d post a quick update.
I put the steering wheel setup back together last night. Should all be aligned correctly but it’ll get sorted when it goes in for geometry etc.
And I’ve fitted the RARB
I’ve got a question or two regarding the RARB setup.
1) - In...
No problem at all...
Mine is on it's standard mounting bracket but it will fly/break off at some point as it's not very sturdy.
Just looking for solutions.. perhaps it'll be something I look into ove the winter months
Thanks
Apologies, I did see this... but I'd also read that you've got Phase 1 wiring... I'd love to Mount mine around here but would be a pain in the arse as it would be too tight
