Re: The 9th, and LAST Surrey Rolling Road : £30! : Saturday 8th February 9am Mileage! Get some more on it and it'll get stronger. Like Renault engines these respond to miles.

Re: The 9th, and LAST Surrey Rolling Road : £30! : Saturday 8th February 9am Was good to see everyone today, unusually fine weather and a huge turnout, thanks Saner. Very happy with mine, 217bhp and 247lbsft. In a Fiesta. LOL

    Ignis number 2

That's what I did in mine pretty much. One of the few sporty cars on the road you can actually drive flat out in without the need to keep backing off all the time. Great induction noise, just enough poke, massively over-braked, if you can get past the looks what's not to like?

I'd forgotten just how pumped up/bulging all over these things are! Looks great!

CLIO IV RS - Trophy from page 111

Well, for me I use it mostly for choosing an album/artist/genre from a library of 5,000 songs, so speaking the instruction is far easier. I'd never have my eyes on the road otherwise.

I was sceptical at first, but the Ford SYNC works very well. It rarely misinterprets what I ask for, and apart from her sounding like she's asking questions instead of confirming requests, I can't fault it at all.

It'll be for pricing purposes I'd have thought...helps them keep the list price at a level that makes the alternatives seem outrageously expensive instead of just a bit more expensive.

EATC has been an option from the outset, auto-wipers/lights is a recent addition though, 'Comfort Pack' I think. There was also added a 'Convenience Pack' which I think adds folding mirrors, keyless entry and parking sensors. So you can spec it up to a similar level as a Clio 200, but apart...

Yep, you got me, of course having controls to pause/play/skip/aux makes it gadget laden.

I don't have cruise control, I don't have auto lights/wipers, I don't have keyless entry all of which I had on my standard 200. I'm just curious as to what my ST carries that makes it gadget laden compared to my/most 200s? DAB radio?

CLIO IV RS - Trophy from page 111

STs are gadget laden? Versus the equivalent late Mk3 Clio 200, they're pretty much the same...unless I'm missing something?

How misleading and dishonest is that?!? It says for that money you'll get a 45bhp gain...because they're saying as standard it has 180bhp. LOL at spending that much money to get an unwarranted 25bhp when less almost exactly half gets you 15bhp with an intact warranty.

    How serious/costly are these problems?

LOL I'm not technical at all, I'll bow out now so someone who actually knows what they're talking about can comment...

Just LOL at 235bhp...or does fitting 'Megan's injectors pistons and crank' really do that?

    Porsche in the Peaks

Good effort, sounds like a cracking drive! Are these things still tight at that mileage or does everything get loose and sloppy like in a miley Clio?

Pay for a professional vehicle inspection? Might just save you several hundred pounds.

    How serious/costly are these problems?

I did both ball joints on my 200 and after Renault UK picked up 40% of the total cost I still had little change left from £500. Expensive!

You're not planning on doing this yourself are you?
  21. MarkCup

    at 57000 miles ?

How old is the car? They perish with age so the intervals for replacement are specified as both mileage and age. It's a 182. It's over 5 years old. i'd get it changed without delay or risk an expensive failure if you're happy with that risk.

UTTER HERO!!! <10 min 'ring Lap, in an Ax Diesel

If he had something a lot more powerful (or even only slightly more) there were many many times he'd have had to brake, down-shift, and set the car up for a corner entry...something a lot of the time he simply did not need to bother with in the AX. Then there would be balancing the car through...

The lower edge of the 'mesh' grille has a smooth recess element to it for plate mounting...the grille would likely look a little odd if that were left and the plate mounted on the coloured bumper only.

A post-Mountune economy run into work in mine this morning saw an indicated average mpg of 49.8 over 26 miles. It doesn't seemed to have harmed its ability to float along on a whiff of fuel at all!

I think they look great, I was going to buy one, I was ready to buy one, yet despite the order books being formally open my local dealer did not want to know (even after an intervention from Jeremy Townsend)...hence the ST. Option prices announced at launch turned out to be pure fiction. The...

Bluetooth's good but I believe many have issues getting track names to display. I have a 180gb iPod Classic pretty much permanently hooked up so no such issues for me. Voice control of everything is a beautiful thing too.

Got to grips with the stereo yet? It's simplicity in the extreme IMO. Anyone who claims otherwise has either clearly not used one for any length of time, or, they're an idiot.
