I've done 50 mins before.
Indoors a couple of months back, which started to really hurt after about 35 minutes.
Outdoors in 2004, outside, in the cold/wet/ice. It was hardcore, most drifting/spinning that racing & bugger me did i hurt afterwards!!!
Its a looooooong race, where as Steve...
Re: 'Sir_Dave's Caged, Cleaned & Toyed-with Shed Trophy Paedo Wagon
I do tend to have a set cycle with cars though:
German when feeling wealthy
French when German have destroyed the wealth
Hence keeping the clio for next year!!
Trophy is now rolling on what can only be described as a set of...
I think the fact that it was financed by Welcome would be enough to put me off tbh.
Finance for poor/financially inept people, who probably dont have enough money to service/maintain the car properly either.
The fact he has now potentially misinformed you is yet another nail in the coffin.
Re: 'Sir_Dave's Caged, Cleaned & Toyed-with Shed Trophy Paedo Wagon
Little update on the warhorse as it'll be going through a few stages of de-modification over the next month or so ....
Stage 1 is now complete - removed & sold cage
Stage 2 is hopefully happening tomorrow - part-ex of PR3's...
Nah, they're definately coming out. Ignoring the fact that they look awful, i'm really not happy with reduced night time vision they give.
Even such a light smoke is quite noticeable in anything bar daylight. Dont care if it takes me all day lol, they're coming off!
Think i've decided on...
Easiest way to describe the benefits (from my own experience) is thus:
In order to get a car around a corner as quickly as possible you need to quell understeer, one of the best ways of doing this is via (trail) braking into a corner - helping the subsequent transferral of weight to the front...
Yeah, shame you're at the other end of the earth lol. PM me want you'd want for them anyways though ...
Oh, give it time! Can see fueling the beast for 90 miles a day being quite amusing ...
Re: the tints, as far as im aware, its not too bad a job if you have the right tools for the job! As...
Nope, its like looking at my (old) car. Still wish i'd bought it back when i had the chance :(
You dont actually use your heel & toe, so thats probably where you are falling short ;) left side of foot for brake, right for accelerator. Easy peasy, just do some practice, will save your gearbox...
Re: Essex Karting meet - Sunday 30th October @ 1pm
Im having a vindaloo on Sat night for this very reason .... extreme weight loss on Sunday morning ;)
It is the 1st job lol. Havent actually had the car in my possession over a free weekend yet ...
So did i  he changed his mind the day before i was supposed to collect them, rather irritatingly, hence the current dilemma.
Need rid of the 'Primewell' tyres on the front asap lol.
Sarah's always paid half the fuel when we go off on long journeys together! I dont ask for it (that would make me a pr4t), she thinks its only fair ... I do exactly the same when we use her car.
Anyways, currently umming & ahhing about CS wheels as i need mine refurbing & 2 new front tyres...
lol. Cheeky Islander. I cant be bothered to argue the point anymore tbh.
Both have their pro's and con's, RS2 is great, but i'm very much enjoying my ITB's at the moment.
Quite possibly the change from 'loo roll style' oil breather filter, to the 'vortex style one' ... as yours is a coupe (facelift), it probably has the vortex one already. Details on how to change are here: http://www.bimmerforums.co.uk/forum/f3/replacing-the-oil-breather-on-e46-320td-or-t15944/...
Ha ha, tints are coming off on Saturday!! Havent actually had it for a full weekend yet, 6 weeks of ownership & its been in my grubby mits for 6 days ...
Its a May '03 facelift, manual with mk4 DVD nav, heated seats & black nappa - deffo not pauper spec ;)
Ha ha, think it might have been
Picked it up on Saturday morning in the end. Was shown all the old bits & bobs, along with the boxes for all the genuine BMW parts used in the rebuild as well, which was nice. Headgasket had a chunk missing between the end two cylinders as can be seen...
