Ed30 has different cams, as well as diff turbo etc. Its basically a detuned s3 engine, hence the better tuning prospects :)

lol. My theory with French cars is thus: 'If it rattles, its still attached, which is good. If it stops rattling, its fallen off, which is bad.' All my Clio's have 'whistled', 'rattled' and 'sqeaked' its the French version of Alfa's 'character' ;)

Ive had both, in fact ive had a 172 cup, 182 cup and 2 x trophies ;) The difference is more is the way it feels, not the actual speed of the thing, which is measured in tenths, not seconds around a track.

Well yes lol. I give it a month before i'm back in the Trophy, rolling around on snow tyres.

Well, after 4 weeks of farting about, the car is now ready .... hopefully picking it up tomorrow morning :D

Now there's optimism for you lol ... For the OP, i wouldnt recommend getting into debt for itb's on a clio, at 18. But the sensible borrowing of money is one of lifes essentials imho.

They arent generally that cheap, but this bloke (if its the one on cliotrophy.co.uk) was more than desperate for the cash. Billy bargain.

To be perfectly honest, they worked on the car, now the work they did has failed - it shouldnt really be your responsibility to sort it out. Just get it stuck on the back of a lowloader & sent down there. Have you actually spoken to TDF about it all yet?
