Thanks for the info guys, I feel slightly more confident lol!
And FYI, when you do the rigs shots, you drive VERY slowly, probably slower than walking pace, so Im not worried about bumps etc.
And this idea is to replace suction mounts, which have MANY disadvantages over this (if it works!!)
lol Riley, you arent the first person to suggest that, but trust me it wouldn't work lol :)
I'll be giving it it's first test Friday night (on my car first I think ;)) so I can't wait :)
Well I did the clamping bolts up quite tightly (as you would!), and when I took them off, they did leave a little hole where they had digged in, so thats good in respect that I dont have to worry as much about them slipping off, but then if I use it a lot, I'll end up with little circular...
Yeh the camera will be on the end, but that can be 4 metres from the car!! The camera isnt very heavy itself, but when its 4m from the car, the 'moment force' (I think that's right, trying to remember my A level physics days!!) will be MUCH greater!
So that's why Im a little concerned...
Yeh, there's tons of tools that you would need to use, but the clone will be the most effective and quickest to start off with, then you can tidy up with other tools, and the way you have mentioned :)
lol, ok it will probably be easier if I post up a pic of what Im doing.
This is part of the set-up from my new photography rig (those who have seen my photoshoots threads will know what Im on about ;))
So you can see how the pole is clamped on, on the sills.
Now Im just curious if the...
Ok, but thats when the force is being pushing up onto the sills and squashing them.
I'm talking about something hanging off the sill, so it would be pulling downwards.
I was just curious as to whether they would rip off the car given enough pulling force.
Soz, I probably wasnt very clear lol...
I'll hijack a photo from another thread in this section to ask the question:
How strong are the sills that run underneath the car? ie. if I were to clamp something on it, that is very heavy, would I have any risk of the sills 'coming off' from the car?
And are they metal or plastic etc...
I know Burp had this problem on his 172 as well. Everything worked fine apart from the mileage remaining display - it just displayed '---'.
The way he fixed it was by accident, after he did a remap using the RSTuner, it worked again!
Hi Henk,
No I don't think I have.
Is this the latest (for CB22 engine)? - 8200_7804 RON98 CB22 May 2009 .cal
Do they significantly change each month? And I presume I dont need to reupdate the .rst file?
And I wasnt complaining or anything, I would still recommend the RSTuner, but from what...
Two best mods for me:
Smaller steering wheel - much better fun without having a wheel for a ship!
Sportlines - noticeable improvement to handling, more responsive turn in :)
I have had an RSTuner remap, but tbh I think the comments on here where people say it's transformed their car are...
With my rear seats out, there's a lot more road noise from the back, obvious really. Its not unbearable, but you do hear things you couldnt before, like the rear brakes!
Yeh, but the results are going to be negligible!
The only way you'll notice any difference with stripping, is if you do the whole nine yards and guy EVERYTHING out that doesnt make the car move!!
Ive never had anything done by JMS, but Ive spoke to Tom from there and he's a real sound guy.
We've chatted a lot about some work we hope to do with each other, and he's very straight and let's you know exactly what the score is, so I can imagine he's the same when working on the Clios. :)
Do...

Its pretty big, and they do bigger. But then you can fold...
I was told by halfords that I couldnt have one to fit my 182 :(
I know thats not the most helpful lol. Did they say it is suitable for your car?
If not, rip the back seats out and stick it n the boot, thats what I did!!
Re: Average Moncao. Average Pics.
What mode were you using the camera in? (and what is your camera btw?)
Might be better to use it in manual mode if you werent already :)
Re: Average Moncao. Average Pics.
Night time photography's hard aint it lol! Especially when you dont use any external lighting.
Not bad though considering, and watch your focus in the first shot - it's a bit soft :)
With regards to sealants and waxes, I have only used AG stuff. So EGP for the sealant, and HD wax. Imho, both are great and do a smashing job, but I couldnt comment on how they compare to other products. But you wont be dissapointed with them though!
