Saw one of these for the first time today at the RS trackday. It was the alien green one, and I thought it looked pretty good actually!
Looked good going around the track too :)
Initially, it took about 10-15 mins. But once it's made up, its just a case of unbolting it from one car and moving it to another, or a different position on the same car :)
Ok this shot took a lot of work, both on site and in photoshop.
PS. Yes that's my car in the background, I didnt think this shot would work at all, so I didnt bother to move it out of shot :(
and before anyone points it out, I know there's no-one driving either cars!
Dan: There's one of the front ones on the first page, this is another one however:
Planet: Im always up for photoshoots! I'd love to have a go at a vee
I would want to avoid a large gathering of people though, it's just to much hassle to organise a shoot with that many cars. If I...
lol, no worries guys. Anytime :)
I think we need to come up with some more interesting locations though, there's only so much we can do in car parks!
Black mountains is defo needed soon!
lol! Yes the car is in immaculate condition! Was very nice to photograph :)
scj172: Not sure how to prove it, so here's an outake of Mark's car with the rig on :)
Yes another Gloucester photoshoot!
This was mainly to test my new rig, to see if it worth all the effort!!

Overall Im very happy with the new rig, it takes A LONG time to setup, but it's worth it. Oh...and we had a few ground clearance issues with...
No probs, I used to be all hush hush about it all, only because every other photographer was the same! Getting info about peoples rigs was like getting blood out of a stone lol!
Now Im not too bothered, mainly because its not the equipment that makes a photographer, you could have all the best...
Yeh bomber did spray that, and I wouldnt have thought it would be risky showing the lock. You've still got to break into the car to get to it (I think, I know nothing about breaking into cars!!)
Not sure about your last question, dont think it would affect things much really.
The steel cable I ordered from a company called Tecni Cable
The pivot thingy I got from either RS or Farnell, I cant remember which as my old man got it (we deal a lot with them at work, so he got it via them :))
I'll do a bit of a search and see if I can find it.
