53mpg FTW  such a light car with nice breathing mods for that figure.
Love the negative camber in the pics......
Believe me when i say it was a struggle knowing it was going, but i know it's gone to a good home and know with the parts Lewis is fitting it will finish the car off spec...
Niggly points:
Gap between passenger door and wing runs out
Needs new gearknob
Thumb grip damaged
Drivers seat belt really grubby
Passenger side inner arch needs replacing
Aftermarket exhaust resonates inside quite loud
Door opening dents on passenger but not too bad
That's from what i saw in...
Spotted a silver clio 182 on autotrader for £2295 that's local to me (Canvey Island)
Reg: BK04 UHH
I thought i'd pop over there to have a look to see what the 182s are all about, it has Cliosport stickers on each rear quarter windows so i was wondering if anyone knows anything about it.
No...
Did they not do this to the 182 Cup as well then? Genuine question as i had the 172 cup and was toying with getting a 182 Cup.
I assume the 182 cup doesn't have AC, has thinner spec glass, cloth seats. Does it have a wide track, different offset wheels like the 172 Cup??
The other halfs cats sit on the bonnet or roam all over the roof.... Annoying!!
Also, she's banging on about going halves each to buy a 'decent' motor(spend about 7k). What's then fair in the deal that she'll get to drive it everyday to only leave it in a train station car park, and i'm...
Can you add things like legal protection, breakdown recovery to a TPFT policy? It's not only having the crash with someone else it's the potential injuries incurred in the accident?
There's obviously going to be benefits to having a FC policy over TPFT, i've seen TPFT qoutes on certain cars...
Been scouring different classifieds forums and i keep going back to this, what do people think of it for the money? I see it has a Cliosport sticker.
I don't know anything about them, it's new territory. Fingers crossed when both Clios go it releases funds of hopefully 4k absolute max so in 1...
Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
Just stunning, attention to detail is second the none in every department. The wrap colour is spot on, well done to everyone involved :D
Unfortunately i can't, i bought the car with them already refurbed in that colour. Although when i had new tyres fitted there was a sticker on each wheel saying 'Pristine' maybe this company? http://www.pristinealloywheels.co.uk/
Although the 2 previous owners lived in Wales unless they were...
TBH keep it as it is, i bought an ITG panel filter for it and fitted that. It already has a Prospeed exhaust fitted and has K Tec coilover suspension to give it the drop. I've also sorted a complete set of Cup damper and springs set for it if the need arises for it to go back on the OE set up...
Had this about 6-7 weeks now, bought new plates from fancyplates, other Renault parts like rear number plate light, parcel shelf, interior grab handles, just a little tidy up. I Thought i'd give it a wash and take some pics now it's not on Scotts private plate and back on the original 52 plate...
Ouch, My friend is a Renault Technical Expert so i took the Clio Cup down to his dealer place of work for a service. He did everything you've mentioned, also torqued rear hub nuts as they were loose, refit the front splitter with better fixings, checked the front geometry for negative camber...
Having somewhere to do the project.... That was the main factor for me and wouldn't have taken it on otherwise. Luckily i had the use of the driveway for both Clios.... 1 on axle stands and the other next to it. I had 1 project where i had to drive to Dartford from Southend most evenings...
My white Clio 172 took about 4 months from the shell to being on the road, i think about 2/3rds in i lost a lot of faith in it and wanted to just get shot of it. I think half the problem certainly for me was thinking about the dam thing like almost 24/7, even going to bed i'd be thinking what...
I can't believe it's been a year already! In that time i've owned 3 RS Clios and still at this present time own 2. It's been a really good year, enjoyed being a part of the Clio community and hope to get more involved in 2012. Thanks to all the people that i've bought Clio parts off throughout...
I run 25mm up front too, looks good with the ET43 OZ F1s, makes such a difference looks wise when they're fitted. I just bought cheapo steel hubcentrics for about £60.
