I tried both, lump hammer and large punch end on, and a thin pin punch trying to turn it.
Hadn't thought of cutting a slot and and using an impact driver on it...may try that first before ripping the thing to bits.
Took the Scenic for new tyres this morning but couldn't get the wheelnut cover off one of the wheels as the bolt has seized.
The 'T'piece tool Renault supply would be more effective if it were made from cheese...and so far, no amount of penetrating fluid, taps with a punch, or attempts with the...
Based on the rear seat space of the Mk4 Clio I sat in, yes, quite a bit bigger.
Just looked at Fiesta ST prices...factor in the extra Ford charge to get comparable servicing and warranty cover/schedules to Renault with the 4+ they do and there's only £1,500 between them.
At base spec levels it's £2k more than a Fiesta, and £3k less than a Focus.
I'd say that puts it more up against the Fiesta especially when you consider the Focus is from a size segment above as well.
Red, no leather, lux, monitor and camera for me.
Can't wait for order books to be open tbh.
LOL at the wheels...I think the 17s look alright. Plus, cost of rubber is much cheaper from what I can tell.
Climate
Auto lights
Auto wipers
Folding door mirrors
Better sound/media system (voice control, Live TomTom mapping, 4x35w vs 4x20w + you can't have RS Monitor on the lower spec version)
Tinted windows
Rear electric windows
Soft touch dashboard
For £1,000 I can't see why you wouldn't go for that.
The new 200T cup racer comes with Brembos...so it's being speculated that the road 'Gordini' version when it comes out will have them (or they'll be an option at least).
As for the quicker rack, Jeremy at RUK confirmed that both cup and non-cup have the same rack. It was announced incorrectly...
Apple fanboy = malleable in the extreme by Apple's marketeers...i.e. would willingly queue on day of release buzzing with excitement at high-fiving all the sales people and getting their hands on the latest i-whatever.
+ what Darren S said.
Yep, with the covers in place it sounds like they aren't and they do.
Sh*t brakes as standard...the list of similarities between this and the FRS continues to grow ;)
Ah, that was it, I was watching some spanish dude cycle through and talk about all the monitor options and paused it when all the text came up.
Switchable brake cooling ducts. Who said the 4RS wasn't focused?!
LOL
Clio 4 RS has panels that can be removed to aid brake cooling apparently. Can't remember exactly where I read this late last night but they're in place for efficiency unless you want to pop them out and get increased airflow to the discs.
Anyone else heard or seen this anywhere? Can't find it...
The bit with the shiny Renault badge on it that covers the airbag...are these replaceable as a separate item or does it involve changing the whole airbag assembly?

16...
I understand what you're saying...but it'll never be as simple as simply not paying HP repayments for a month or two.
You want compensation.
For what exactly?
For having to drive around in a lesser car?
How would you put a value on that?
How could they argue against that?
All very...
That would be like me asking for an amount of the car I bought in cash to be refunded as I couldn't use it. HP is you paying to own your car...not a rental as such.
The 1.2 pink glittery Clio is on indefinite loan from the dealer?
If so, make it your mission to kill the tyres and brake pads to death and have fun doing it.
