It's there in mine too, allowing for the extra 200kgs my 200 carries compared to my 172 Cup, the 5k 'kick' is just as hard and pronounced.
Is one faster than the other in a straight line or round bends? Not really. Not enough that it would make any difference to your progress.
The 200 does...
I crawled all over a dci this afternoon, tried the rear seats out for size once I'd got comfortable up front, quite impressed with the space, certainly more than enough for the kids. Boot is noticeably bigger although not by a huge amount.
Looks? They had a yellow and a white one in the...
Can you have stop start with a dual-clutch? I thought it was manual only as it was the act of putting the car into neutral that told the engine to shut down.
Whilst I still do it from time to time on the road I've moved on from that.
To me the act of driving, the enjoyment of driving, is so much more than just one thing. To say enjoyment can't be had unless you get the opportunity to try and nail the perfectly timed/rev-matched gear change is a bit...
When I think back to how my 205bhp/ton 172 Cup got itself down the road, and then think that performance is available quite easily, with all the toys in this 5 door body, I get pretty excited to be honest.
The only argument I'm now having with myself is do I buy one now or wait 18-36 months...
I'd say it's an automatic 'box with manual selection if desired.
Yes it will prevent a downshift which would cause it to disintegrate (exactly the same as a maximum rpm limiter stops over revving), no it won't auto up-shift if you hit the limiter. Yes there seems to be a delay between request...
I thought we'd already covered this?
"RS gearbox is rubbish because you can't downshift in a way which would harm it".
LOL
Using this argument any car with a rev limiter is useless as you can't try to rev it to 10k and blow the engine up.
Do rev limiters ruin the driving experience? Should...
FLOL, what point are you making?
Is it that because there's two paddles you might need to take both hands off the wheel at the same time?
Using a stick takes longer and you have to move your hand further. The stick itself will be in a different place as well depending on what gear you're in...
I can't see how column mounted is an issue.
I'm used to taking my hand completely off the wheel and moving a big stick a few inches already...how hard is it to find a paddle that's always in the exact same place behind the wheel every single time I need it?
If taking your hands off the wheel...
I think the comparison with the GT86 is absolutely valid.
That's because I've been swaying back and forth between the two for some time now..depending on my mood...racing driver or Dad.
I think the father in me will win though as the back seat usability of the '86 is almost non existent.
Odd that it's never played up before despite regular jet-washing.
Useful to know it'll show up on diagnostics though...can read codes etc on my phone so could always take a look.
A very helpful member on here has already sent me the Renault technical fault finding document from diologies for...
