No worries at all...like I said, you can try as I'm sure one more wont be too bad. Its if we said there would only be ten people and thirty turned up it could be an issue.
Erm, yes...but I'm sure they may let us squeeze one or two more on...but can't honestly guarantee it. We have 20 people, but I have asked people that if anyone can't make it to let us know asap so anyone who wants to join in can. :)
No, entry to the complex and the museum is free...its £2 to park for 3 hours I think (more if you want to stay longer) and the food is what you will be paying for should you wish to partake in the breakfast. :)
I'm 37 soon and on my 2nd RenaultSport Clio (1 *172Cup and 1*182)...b****cks to people's feelings on age, I do fancy going BOOST...but this thing is cheap to own in comparison to other motors!
It could be the nut, or it could be that the heatshield has worn through the old bolt (usually the case) so there is a hole (the size of the washer) showing. You use the current bolts, but a bigger washer. I did it on mine a couple of months ago now.
Nice and easy as JRS182 has said above. There is a guide here, should you need it...just make sure it has bigger washers than its currently using. :)

All tools went back in without a problem. It is probably something and nothing. Just infuriating that if I don't get it sorted...she will get the 182 until her car is on the road! (don't want that!) ;)
Thanks for the offer :)
I know mate...just glad its not the 182! He hasn't said as I was in work when he called me to give me an update so I tried to get the information as quick as possible. I will just see what comes of it, and then the 1.2 is never being touched again by me! (but don't tell the missus!)
Her car kept doing the engine management light and 'coughing' a couple of times before stalling. (Similar to Tim Lockhart's issue on his GF's car). I've already done TDC sensor (no change), so thought it could be the TB having issues...hence taking it off to clean both sides and putting it back...
I can imagine...problem is that they have so many different units to work on, there's no chance they'd have 100% of the right tools.
I haven't done anything apart from trying to turn it over a couple of times and testing whether it was moving through being pushed. I'm just worried about the...
I only took the inlet off and cleaned the TB, I am almost certain I dropped nothing in there...but am bricking it now.
I removed the TB (unscrewed it) so I could clean both sides and reattached it making sure everything was on there.
I'm gonna get a local garage to have a look in the...
My only comment on the Advert is that in one of the pictures it has a 'Cup' badge on the door...so people may think its a 182 Cup as externally its exactly the same...that could put off those in the know.
Its definitely well priced, as said, All the Best with the Sale :)
No mate, appears to be locked when putting it in 1st and trying to move the car!
The car moves a few inches, then stops dead! Could well be petrol in the cylinder stopping it from moving. :(
Cheers Edde :)
It seems to be deactivating and the lights on dash appear as they normally would. Called Green Flag bloke and he said it seems like the engine is locking, so suggested it could be that there is too much petrol in there, but didn't have a small enough socket to fit in the gap to...
I found mine was stuffed day before FCS and didn't have time to sort it there and then, so went to Halfrauds and bought exhaust putty and some bandage...put the putty in the hole and then for extra security, wrap it with the bandage if you want to. I got mine on the Trade Card and worked out at...
Just jack up the rear axle, get the car on axle stands and just have it ticking over...I noticed on mine that the blow(s) were coming from just infront of the backboxes (where the pipe joins was very corroded) and the back of the cat.
When I got the exhaust replaced for stainless, I got the...
Took the 1.2 apart to clean the Throttle body. Put it back together and connected everything...now the fucker won't start. Tries and fails miserably.
The beep part way through is the Clifford immobiliser...it does that and was on the car before Mandy bought it!
Any ideas?????
Where the front of the backboxes are, have a feel there as that is a known place of failure. If it hasn't happened yet, chances are it will happen at some point.
Also, the heatshield by the backboxes wear out a bit see here (costs a couple of quid and can be done yourself)...
Just watch out for Sunday drivers and the mobile camera van just before Weston Park where it drops down to a 40mph area and also on the A41. (2 spots where they can sit!):(
Chris, the exhaust fitting kit (springs) also have a sleeve, it can wear also, so don't just replace the springs, replace the sleeve thing as well. Also, get the Renault one, as the motor factor ones are not supposed to be that good.
See the picture here...It is the circular piece...
We were just talking about how the forum has changed...and I said about the fact that years ago, there used to be a fair few people (such as BenR) who used to give advice, but how most of those people had gone on to start their own businesses dealing with the cars and what have you. I was just...
Bloody Hell...Welcome back Edde...was only talking to someone a few months back at a Crewe meet about you and how you were a fountain of information with regards to Clios in general.:)
I would happily have a copy as the missus now has a 52 plate 1.2 16v and need some info about getting to the...
Right guys, Thanks for the interest in the event...but as people have already said...Please, please, please let us know if you are unable to make it...so that there is chance for someone else to come along (if they missed this first). I'm sure we can sneak a couple more in (so to speak), but...
Sorry Gents, wasn't on computer yesterday.
Looking to meet at the Esso petrol station here WV7 3NA for around 08:30. Leave there 08:45 and drive to Cosford (which takes about 2 mins) park up
It is £2 to park for 3 hours (I think), and if you want to park for longer, you can and the RAF Museum...
