I'd save yourself some money and get a 172. Mechanically the same car, but the exhaust is cheaper when it falls off! Spend the money saved on brakes and a bucket seat, and away you go.
No, r53 carriers (that are specific to the jcw upgtade). R56 carriers won't fit. The r56 calipers are the same as the r53 upgrade, but with different carriers. There's a guide on mini torque showing exactly what's needed.
You do when your telling them how they should do it.
It's just pub bullshit
No, you don't. Let's not confuse this with opinion. It's fact. You're actually wrong.
And afaik, no one's told him anything. Because he's not here.
And I'm not in a pub either.
He's clearly concentrating about 20m up the road. Doesn't seem to have much anticipation (hence the yellow flag stuff). And he's overtaking on both sides.
Those aren't opinions. He clearly didn't see /notice the yellow flags. He's clearly overtaking both sides.
Doesn't make him a c**t. Does...
Assume it's getting caged at the same time? Definitely declare. Not only obvious to an assessor, but an obvious question for plod if you get pulled over.
I'd go R26, or something like a mk5 golf GTi. The Corsa has quite a poor image. If he likes a decent interior, look at the Golf. It's miles ahead of the others in that respect.
Revo are known for peaky maps aren't they? That thread was just an example of a direct comparison.
I've been looking for a while, from what I've read, shark/apr/r-tech>revo.
But it's like the ktech thing. Depends who you talk to ;). I've read people on the forums swearing that bluefin is the...
The revo maps seem to go for headline figures. Big early slug of torque that tails off. It's why (on the mk5 platform) some people have had issues with clutch slip in 5th and 6th.
If you Google shark remap dyno graph, one of the Skoda boys put all the maps on one graph to show the differences...
I was tempted by revo. Too many reports of flat spots etc. If mine gets done, I'll be using shark performance.
But like all these things, depends who you talk to. I've met folks convinced ktec is the place to go for Renault tuning.
I've owned all of the options (well a 200). Depends what he's after and used to.
182 is great fun, but does feel old these days.
Megane is good, interior is decent enough, but they are quite refined and not chuck able like a traditional hot hatch. The best option day to day.
197 would be...
@Sir_Dave have you ever turned the American drl option on? Once activated, at night if you flick the headlights off for a moment, the headlights strobe. Not dissimilar to police. Tends to clear lane 3 quiet well........
