Potter! Not forgotten about you don't worry. I'll be in contact tomorrow.
How much to map a pd130?? I don't want maximum power. Reliability is my first priority but a little more oomph wouldn't go a miss.
What are you rambling on about??
I never came on the clio forum to ''big up VW''. I came here 9 years ago. I own 4 clios at this present moment in time, I love them.
I know the 2.0 VAG diesel is rubbish, that's why I never offered advice to buy one.
I've never 'worked on' Renaults.
It's...
Buy an Octavia. The badge snobbery (and woeful dashboard!) mean they are usually quite a bit cheaper than VW/Seat.
Cheap depreciation proof motoring...
It would have to be a completely anal sadomasochistic bellend that fails an MOT because the number plates don't have a postal code on them!
In all my years i've never heard of a car failing for that reason.
It will cost me more than 50p to get in the car and drive to the pound shop. Plus the £25 I'd lose from the hour away from work.
56p will not break me. Financially or otherwise.
I will be sure to carry out a thorough nationwide price comparison before posting such threads in the future. I am...
So Renault are renowned for reliability? Oh wait, they're f**king s**t. I know this, I worked for them for 7 years. I have also owned well over 100 of them. The build quality and reliability is poor (Renaultsport aside) Hence why a 5 year old Renault Laguna is worth nothing and a 10+ year old...
I've been using these guys for ages. Superb service.

You did a lovely job in the time frame.
But a pet hate of mine, you haven't dressed the wheel arches. 3 quick sprays of dressle or similar and it makes a HUGE difference.
Lovely colour on the lexus though. Really nice in fact!
If the clip is wonky and causing the issue, move the clip back down the pipe, position the pipe properly, then put the clip back on. At most you'll lose half a pint and that's if you're a r****d. Top it back up with water.
Why would you have to drain all the coolant?
You'd rather save under £2 a week over towing safely and legally?? Strange priorities! lol
Besides, a Renault diesel will eventually break, making your £100 tax saving null and void.
Regards to your other comment about VAG's having high running costs, that is utter nonsense. Whoever told you...
I don't do a great deal of towing, but I wouldn't even entertain one. My Astra Van (remapped too!) used to barely manage with a tiny trailer and a stripped out clio.
You'd be much better off with a mondeo/passat/vectra type car imo.
No.
Well, not that you'd notice. Unless you mean a petrol station jetwash with their 'cleaning' chemicals in it? That will pretty much strip any polish! Lol
