Re: destined for the track
Have your wires behind the steering wheel caught fire yet?
If not, make sure you have a can of Pepsi ready for when they do ...
The new rule is a pain is you tax your cars all year round, then day insure it when you fancy a drive - like i used to do with the Trophy ...
Now means that you also have to go to the post office & tax it as well, which is a slight pain when you fancy a late night 4am drive down some backroads.
Re: "Mechanically Inept" Dave.'s TDF'd ITB & Cammed 182
Well bugger me, & i thought i was mechanically inept
We might have an opportunity for you to open a FailSport Midlands dept. if you like? I think your level of skillz r appropriate
Car looks ace Clare, was saying to Ollie there's one in the work car park exactly the same! But with 17's ...
Christopher uses ones of these iirc, might help ...
They put wider tyres on the front axle, than the rear axle? Rly?
RS3 has 235 on the front, 225 on the rear, standard.
As per usual with these things. Buy a TT RS, at least it looks nice.
Fred said he's only done 6 F4R water pumps in 10 years or something .... and that they generally arent a service item?!
Also, go to a specialist. Cambelt is hard on the clio, & very easy to bugger up.
Not too bad, just be sure to cable tie the oil temp sensor wiring out the way properly, otherwise you'll break the cables when you go for reverse ..
Doh.
Are you suggesting that my Trophy is looser than a Wizard's sleeze Tim ;)
Its ok, doubt its the strongest one in the world, but just to compare, here are the graphs from the 2 Trophy's i have owned to date, both power runs done at Surrey Rolling Road:
No. 433 (52k miles) - Ktec Ultra...
I cant remember the last time i claimed to be a technical expert to be honest.
Although i do have a tape measure, marker pen, drill bit & a tap die set under my desk, perhaps i could re-engineer my financial knowledge into something a bit more mechnical?
I'm sceptical, i ask questions...
Strangely enough, as a finance broker, i dont have an in-depth knowledge of rolling roads no, but i do know that whenever numbers are involved, they can always be massaged to show pretty much anything you want.
A degree in finance & statistical analysis taught me that ;)
To be fair...
Bought a louder exhaust. Wear a helmet when i drive it.
For me, the rattle proves that the part is still attached the car, im more worried when it stops rattling, as that normally means its fallen off.
Tweeq Automotive are in Bordon, he will do most things, runs a turbo'd AX himself.
Re: the B&M, again a very good bit of kit (had one myself), but the GE quickshift does the same, for £15.
