Cheap coilovers and tracks = spins!

This. x 1 million. I like a twitchy back end. Oo-er. Others might might not. Although i think i've found Kev's problem: Oopsy ;)

Cheap coilovers and tracks = spins!

No sound on work pc so cant tell if you lifted, etc, but, if the back end steps out the last thing you want is more hardness at the back end lol. More hard/rear ARB, etc = more stiff = more rear end twitchy twitchy

    Fletch's 150k 172 Project..

lol. You forget, FailSport only have one associate who actually knows what they are doing (sort of), i just follow guides, Nick has a 'mechanical' brother, & Ollie, well ... I used 2 of these eyebolts for the rear :)

    Fletch's 150k 172 Project..

Looking great guys!! Although slightly concerned about the rival 'driveway based motorsport preparation company' ;) Although if you want both harnesses a bit straighter to the back of the car, i.e. less angle on the outside strap in this pic: Buy an M10 eyebolt and use the rear isofix...

    Anoyone know this car?

Re: Anoyone no this car? The exhaust is awful, other than that it looks ok. Probably about a grand more than id spend on a cup mind you.

    Shock Horror, Sir_Dave buys a Diseaseal ...

Was tempted earlier on in the month, but decided against it for the time being! The extra power would be nice, but then it would be similar pace to the Trophy, which would kind of defeat the point of a 'quicker' car for the weekends ... So, after removing the swirl flaps, swopping oil...

thoughts on PAS - would you loose it for a track car?

Personally i prefer PAS, i'm not exactly Mr. Universe when it comes to the gun show, so PAS helps me deal with those oppo moments a little easier.

Trophy 007 and the story so far.......

Personally, i would have simply sold the Gaz coilovers he bought for it & fixed the engine. You forget, a lot of the money Chris was spunking on it was for sexy things, not necessarily fixing the damn car lol.

    Fletch's 150k 172 Project..

lol, you pikeys Personally, i used High Tensile 12.9 bolts throughout, with similar 12.9 nyloc nuts, & marine grade washers, purely as i dont want the seat to fall off the floor if im hanging from the roof, upside down ... Got most of it from these guys: DSJ Hardware

    Fletch's 150k 172 Project..

Hmmm, not so sure, personally, i've only used grade 12.9 high tensile bolts/nuts throughout. Then used one of these: http://www.msar-safety.com/detail.asp?p=88&o=Snap-on_Bracket (the B23A version) on the rear, gearbox side subframe mounting bolt in order to clip the harness on :) You need...
