Over 75k in my 1*2's ive averaged about 34mpg. For the performance/fun on offer they are very cheap to run!!
If you swop to 15's, 195/50/15 tyres are about £35 a corner, & if you buy a cup, the cambelt, etc costs about £300.
Only difficulty is insurance if you're a youngster.
Definately worth trying one, probably the best change i've ever made to a clio, & ive had 4 lol. Best of describing it, & the forum will generally hate me here, but it gives that little bit of saxo/106 that the clio is missing, ie a significantly more playful rear end. Which imho allows you to...
Money wasnt the issue tbh, supply was, didnt want to have to buy 2 sets of tyres in case i get a puncture lol. In addition, RS2's are being replaced within the next 6 months or so, & im an4l about having matching tyres all round!! I can get T1R's down the local cornership if i have a problem ...
Ha ha, no chance, FailTrophy is staying for a long while yet, simply as i'd never be able to afford another one!! Saxo cost more to build than this lol ...

Ok, so i dont normally *****, but thanks to James (JMS) and Mike (FailSport) last night, the TroFail is now finished. I'm sure a few of you will have read my project thread, & i'll update that with more info than in here, but chuffed isnt the word, it drives brilliantly & looks ruddy lovely imho...

Nah, Saner's been out of pocket before for other things he's arranged in the past (due to the 43% 'i'll come', then i wont turn up, CS meet ratio) .... i dont want the same to happen if i dont turn up, so as i said id come, i'll still pay if required :)
Im out now im afraid, going to Cardiff for Sarah's Dad's 60th ...
PM me if you dont get enough numbers to cover the costs Jon and ill make the necessary contribution.
Re: Project 172k Trophy, & its endless track abuse

Re: Project 172k Trophy, & its endless track abuse
Mike's response was 'bugger me, they look hard'.
That is all.
