Ah ok, i didnt know whether as the wheels themselves were different, that would cause any issues?
I'm guessing ET30 would be ok on a Trophy, on Sportlines? It wont exactly be slammed on the floor ...
As above really, could i have wheels with the following ET's:
Front pair - ET30
Rear pair - ET35
Obviously i would add spacers if required, so as to achieve the same width all round, but would the wheels different ET's affect the handling balance, due to wheels being heavier or anything?
Re: Project 172k Trophy, & its endless track abuse
Ha ha, nah the wheels fine, only got the Pepsi over the centre bit, & thats all cleaned off now ;)
Great wheel though, shame my hands are now black lol.
Re: Project 172k Trophy, & its endless track abuse
O. That might explain it then lol. Sarah's dad (proper electronics engineer) said that i was never allowed to work on the car unsupervised again lol, im an ejit apparently :o
Still added a 'spark' of excitement to the day i suppose ;)...
Re: Project 172k Trophy, & its endless track abuse
Well, Saturday brought two things, rain & fire.
The first, well that wasnt really anyones fault, but i needed to get the car up in the air to fit the Bimarco's, this involved me getting wet & dirty :dapprove: But after much swearing...
Right, so are u lot deffo going on the thurs? Any idea what time as we need to give our ferry time/day preference asap ...
Actually, Naith are u organising? If so, ill pm u on monday when im back at work if thats ok :)
Very cheap. Ill give you £3.5k lol ...
Bar the wheels & badges, pretty much the perfect spec A4 barge imho. Has the reliable engine, not the 2.0 timebomb.
Well, we've currently booked for 4 cars (9 people in total), & as i don't like being a passenger long distance, you lot can fight about who takes the remaining 3 cars ... no point all driving, more money on petrol = less money on booze.
Currently awaiting an invoice from 1st Tickets for the 2nd...
Unfortunately yes lol ... rumour has it that the thing was understeering so much in testing at the 'ring that they needed to do something. Obviously designing a chassis that wasnt sh1t was too expensive.
Surprised they dont just fit all Audi with R888's on the front wheels ;)
Tbh, ud be amazed at the number of people that dont even look at history, even if it is there lol ....
Just buy a service book of ebay, buy a primary school 'good luck' stamp and bung a load of river island receipts in a folder. £2 says the buyer wont look anyway ;)
Just checked, havent actually booked crossings yet .... what sort of time would you be drinking of catching the ferry from dover on the Thursday? We are booked for Houx though, thats a definate, walking everywhere FTL.
They're going on Thursday though :( whereas we're starting our epic journey on the Wednesday morning ...
By the time TeamAriane get there, Mike will have gone missing, Ollie will have inappropriately touched 13 Loti, Tom will have run out of money, & something (probably Mike) will have...
Without the sh1t coilovers, gay wheels & exhaust it would be cool.
But then you might as well just buy one of the other 5 billion MX5's available for a grand...
Looser than a wizard's sleeve.
Poor car, currently sat outside on axle stands with no interior in it ... Trophy forum would cry if they saw it in its current state lol
I've had a search ;)
Lots of info on turning the airbag lights off, etc, which im not overly bothered about - dash looks nice atm, just like my xmas tree lol.
But, & this is probably a daft question, but how the hell do i wire up the horn? I read about adding a PH1 stalk? But this sounds...
The Cup Racer driver is a ballbag - if i had been in shed Trophy instead of mint Trophy, i would have put him on the grass myself.
James was on R888's, the 306 wasnt (he's on the 306 forum i use) - speed wise, standard for standard, they are the same. I know this, as I've had both ;)
