If you check the manifold, a 172 goes 4-1 whereas a 182 is a 4-2-1.
The fitting kit is the springs, bolts and the flat pieces (flanges?) which allow the manifold and exhaust to be coupled together...the 172 or 182 fitting kit are the same thing.
2nd post where the spring picture is, is...
I answered the way I did as there was nothing to back up your comment. Hence my answer...if you had backed it up with something (evidence, etc.), it would have been an issue. No need to apologise at all.
Was it the one in Reddish? Never had faith in there and only been in a handful of times for random parts!
At the end of the day though, these are just people trying to earn money to pay for bills/beer/broads...they're not paint specialists and are only following advice from a machine (which...
The 172 Cup doesn't have the comfort glass windscreen which most other Clios have. I don't know about weight, but they are supposedly lighter. If you look above the centre of the dash, you will see a small square (for Sat Nav use) in 172/182s but it doesn't have this on the 172Cup.
Thanks for your input.
Getting cat back exhaust done anyway and my main aim is for it to sound better and not drop off like standard renault ones. If there is any difference, I know it wil be negligable, but just wondering if, while I'm getting rest done if that would be of any use. I've...
Its appreciated Rob, but its just the issues regarding having decat and accident...they will dry bum me. At least I keep the standard cat (as its 200 cell anyway, isn't it?) but the overall sound will be better. Also, I just want the exhaust to reflect the car (like my old one did on the 172...
Has anyone had their cat modified?
I've been told that the 182 Cat has a smaller diameter exit pipe leaving it to go to the exhaust...A place has said that I can have this 'adapted' so that it is the same diameter and will release some extra power...has anyone had this modification done, or...
Load machine up in Safe mode (Press F8 after getting through BIOS screen), run RKill http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/grinler/rkill.scr
This should kill any process that may be running. Once this has been done, then run malwarebytes.
Some machines will link it to your local...
I currently have a Nokia X6 and its absolute pants. 2nd version I've had as first was cosmetically damaged, and I spent 2 days without any reception due to it being so poor. Contract is up in the next couple of months, think I'm going to Samsung as will never have another Nokia again!
Think I was lucky with mine...55K and very little wear on the steering wheel (or interior in general). I wouldn't mind, but its not like in the UK we have serious heat issues...South of Spain, etc...fair enough!
The rubber is shocking, and also the leather seems to deteriorate over time too.
No worries...known issue and why Renault never sorted it is beyond me. I've seen one of the refurbished wheels on Matt W's 172Cup...and I was VERY impressed. My 182 wheel is fine, the rubber grips are still in tact, so don't want to do it yet...but when its needed, I know where I'll be going to...
KwikShit Insurance wanted £1050 for renewal (and offered me a reduction in price of £115 per month...when I was paying £85 a month before!)
Went online to Co-Operative insurance, £680 including the interest for paying monthly!!!
Looking likely that the idea will be to do Karting in Halesowen (but it depends on numbers and date(s)), do you have any ideas? All ideas are welcome. :)
Put it in the Meets section. :)
Currently in the process of getting ideas together for next West Midlands Meet...
Look here... http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?583796-Ideas-for-Next-Meet
If you consider the car to be several years old, then the suspension, bushes, etc would have worn down over time. I wouldn't say s**t...not perfect, but then its aimed at the masses, not a select few when originally designed.
For the sake of £12...if it helps to sell the motor...its an investment. If you put it on Pistonheads, and pay for enhanced advert...its around £9, but you don't get discounts, or forum access...Also, you're (hopefully) less likely to get tyre kickers (waste of time callers) than on PH or Ebay, etc.
Had 172Cup for 5½ years, loved every minute of it. Now have a 182 and glad I have that...if you've never had a 172/182, then you don't realise the toys you're missing...if you have, then it purely depends on whether or not you are replacing the interior (for comfort), and also if you like...
Sorry to be pedantic, but an MOT doesn't prove a car is roadworthy, just advises that it passed the minimum standard of a test. (It advises that on the MOT certificate itself).
Howdy, I've never been there (Tracks)...so will need to contact them for an idea of prices, etc. the only thing would be the weather. Also, dependant on numbers will reflect what we can do (event wise). I would be requesting at least £10 per person (depends on how much of a deposit that they...
