Depends on how you want to drive it...
If you will be hooning around everywhere...then you'll probably put too much mileage on. If you rarely drive, it could be a bargain.
Just make sure that there is some proof that the car is not a dog. My cup had done just shy of 100K and never missed...
Would love to inform you, but looks like Mandy and I were beaten to it!!! Its not something I like to bring up...as explained in the thread, I had a hypogylcaemic coma behind the wheel. Still...onwards and upwards. :)
Thanks for the concern from Mandy and I.
Not a chance, as the last one turned to poo! Not enough interest.
Cheers for the suggestion :)
Sounds like a plan Chris :D
Not from the want of organising. We've tried to organise a couple...there was the one at Cosford where only myself and Chris turned up!!!
Hence why Mandy has...
Honestly not a fan of the FM transmitters, if you are doing a travel in your region, then it should be fine on one FM frequency. If (like I did) you are going from Telford to Manchester, then you need to keep changing the frequency to find a free one which you can use without interference.
basically there is a blue connection (which is the same as the one if you had a CD changer), which connects to a silver box, which has a cable coming from it to the Ipod. There is no splicing of cables or anything, just a connection to the HU, the box and then to the Ipod.
The only messing...
Dunno mate, but when I connect it, and turn the ignition on, it comes up with message on the screen that charging incompatible on this device (or something like that!)
*EDIT* Just seen on their site that I need the CTIPOD-CONVERTER! As it won't charge 4th gen Nanos! :rolleyes...
It connects via the cd changer connection on the HU. It can be controlled via the stalk controls. The only thing it doesn't do is charge the ipod.
You can use the change cd button (underneath the stalk controls) to change between the first 6 playlists on your pod!
Tom, can you let me know what is going on...as we currently have 2 meets for around the same time in 2 venues which are about an hour's (ish) drive apart.
I don't want to go to all the organisation for the one which I'm trying to do, for this to be done around the same time and make mine...
Don't think it will charge. You can get the ones that charge, but they cost more.
Just make sure that whichever you get has the proper connection rather than just a phono jack (headphone connection) then you can control the device with the stalk controls.
The blue connection fits the cable from the CD changer...this cable is the same.
^^That one seems like it just uses an earphone cable to connect...if you spend a bit extra, you can then control the ipod (songs) via the wheel on the radio control stalk and the playlist via the cd change...

Would this work with the missus's 2002 Clio 1.2 16v?
Cheers
Don
Al, cheers for the backup mate, but I'm not entirely fussed either way. If someone else fanices organising it...saves a whole heap of grief for me! ;)
MK isn't THAT far away...its where I ended up on FCS day! :dead:
