The Electric motors for the Megane Coupe's rear windows are definately a decent touch...only problem is that they can go funny if they are held for too long as the motor no longer works, then you have to remove the circular 'contact' and bend the contact slightly...but cheaper than buying a new...
Only on 182 (Just to confuse things!)
The 172Cup was the original 'Cup',
Then there was the 182 with Cup packs (Spoiler/Suspension)
Then 182 Cup.
I had a 172 Cup as my daily runner for just over 5 years and loved the Car.
No, had an admin account, so Pword protected it and protected the drive so you could only access certain files from that account...now I can't open that OS to get the username/password in (that would be easy) and don't want to reinstall Windows over that one, as it will probably try and...
My machine is now a dual boot. I used to have protected files on my NTFS drive, but because the XP system which it was accessed via has gone tits up...I want to get access to it all because I've got a lot of music and films that I still want access to. (both options in the dual boot load XP, but...
It is a tuner list (same as Cup) and it has the connection for the CD changer, it sends power to the changer and the headunit seems to acknowledge that there is a changer there as it displays CD CHECK but nothing else happens!
They will, but if you want something sticking out of the bumper, it might be advisable to get a 182 Bumper tailpipe surround (bout £18) as Charlie won't supply them..
He will be the man to ask, he will make it from scratch so can do pretty much whatever you want.
Have a look for some pics...
Okay, had changer in the Cup...was involved in accident. :quiet:
Put it into Mandy's Clio (Tuner list stereo) it displays CD Check, but doesn't appear to register a disc being in there...
any ideas?
Its not sold, I don't think...I was tempted, but it had no tax and a rad leak. He mailed me the other day to say its now got 6 months tax and the rad has been replaced.
Only niggly thing with that is its got crack on windscreen about the size of 20p piece...so will probably need replacement...
ABS wouldn't have saved mine. Owned her for over 5 years and did 99,000 miles in her. Had hypo (diabetic coma) behind wheel and crashed. The car would have been okay if there was no roof crease.
ABS is an aid...if you're overconfident, cocky, crap, or just plain ignorant...then it might help...
Chris, saw your black 197 just getting onto the M54 heading home for you about 4:30 IIRC.
Saw the track sticker on the side rear window...still looking nice mate :)
Is the 2006 model a Mk3 or the same shape as the 2003? If its the same shape will fit in fine, if its the Mk3, I think you'll struggle, but can still be done.
Good choice mate. I did notice a difference when I put it in over standard one. Could have been the placebo effect though!
Notice a hint of the RB colour in the pic too...you pic *****! ;)
The Cups only came in 2 colours, Mondiale Blue (most common) and Iceburg silver (only about 90 made IIRC).
It all depends on what extras you want, as although the Cup is 89Kgs lighter than the 172, you wouldn't really notice it in the real world.
There is a couple of weeks in the year...
Welcome.
Servicing is every 12K, aux belt every 36K or 3 years, cambelt 72K or 5 years.
Most of the 172Cups are around 5 or 6 years old, so may well have been cambelt done.
The Cups are very easy to drive a lot, so some will have a lot more mileage than others.
Welcome, the best choice of car IMHO.
The Cups are reliable, due to the fact that there is less to go wrong over the 172 or 182ff.
I lost my Cup on Sunday, so I can definately say that they are a good car.
Try and get yourself along to a meet...Mandy and I are the Area Reps for the...
If that is me, then yes, I am fine (and so was my Son/passenger) apart from his whiplash injuries.
I had a hypo behind the wheel and came to, to find the car written off. Was on my way to the services to get some Lucozade, but didn't quite make it.
Included the details in the W.Mids...
Most paint places will do a colour match, but LY is a b**ch to get looking right if its for a bit of car needing to be repaired.
Depends on where you're based as to who to use.

You'll see it easier if you remove the airbox. Its beneath that.
Here is where it is on the 2 litre...its a similar position on the 1.2 and I would assume for the 1.4

Matt sells them mate.
Depends on which version you want. PM Matt (MT AUDIO) and he can go from there.
There's CS members discount...so might be worth paying the tenner! ;)
