Stupid question: So theres no reason why you cant use SRP and EGP with a machine polisher?

I know what you mean! When I put the car in our garage a few months ago, it looked quite bad! You never see these marks in the day time! I may have to have another look soon!

I think the thing thats bugging me is that my car is already is excellent condition. There are very little scratches/swirls etc on the paintwork. So I dont think a machine polisher would be of the same benefit as if my car was in horrible condition! I think I might leave it for the time being...

I got rid a of a lot of mine (although they were VERY minor) with Autoglym Super Resin Polish. It wont get rid of more serious swirls as I think SRP is quite gentle. To avoid getting them in the first place, dont use a hard sponge, use a lambswool mitt as Rich suggests :D

Finished both claying and polishing. Tbh, I didnt notice the car looking 'worse' after claying. The bar did look quite dirty at the end though, and there were quite a few noticeable spots and other bits of crap that it took off too :D A few pics after polishing :) The only thing that...

^^ That looks alright! The only thing is, my mate picked me up yesterday for a ride, and I think he has the same rack as you. BUT my Scott Ransom wouldnt go up on the rack because that bar thingy that comes up wouldnt fit through the frame :(

Imo, the Nikon entry cameras are far superior to Canons. But bear in mind, whatever make you get, you'll (probably) stick with. So when you have a few grands worth of lenses, its not too easy to switch!
