steering pump failing. My steering went woolly and a bit vague before it pissed fluid on the underside of the car..
check behind the gaitors as they may full of steering fluid.
that ain't gonna work at all. The OMP ones are almost hollow giving you space for the airbag plugs.
you can fit it but you'd have to chop your airbag connectors off.
like the new one. Guy in work has a 16 plate type r. It looks gash on screen but wicked in the flesh.
got it in white too, just looks bonkers. On the other hand spotted a new focus RS and other than the rear spoiler it doesn't look much different when driving along to an ST.
I like the bonkers...
Gave the Meg a wash, de-tar, rewash then polished with Auto Glym and a few pics out and about with my bridge camera. No skill just point and shoot on a decent camera setting. Came out ok..
Also got a few pics from a few weeks ago on my proper camera. I'm no photographer by all means...
nice car. I used to slide my Sierra Sapphire 2L about a bit. Admittedly I was a yoof. Was fun though when you we're expecting it!! Not so much when it catches you out, 5p, 10p, 5p moment..
me front bumper is a one off I think. Phase 1 lower, phase 2 lower and standard grill. Cars had a recent blow over as I've found a few overspray marks here and there. When I got it I thought the paint work was really good for its age and I've since found out why. Previous owner to the previous...
funds are zero for car stuff at the moment. Gotta save 36k for a loft conversion. I've got a budget for v power and that's it!:D
They are growing on me but they are marmite for most people.
Can't see em when your driving anyway :D:D
I would have a chat with your mot guy and he'll best advise you on what's best to do. Gives you a few weeks to sort stuff out then.
I've been using the same garage for over 10 years and there super helpful and a little more relaxed on certain things.
as far as I'm aware all lights have to go on and off. As an MOT is a road worthy safety test all warning light must go out. Depends on your mot'er and how friendly they are;);).
have you tried clearing it with a basic OBD reader??
Nothing too dramatic to report. Loving the car. Been pushing it a bit more now its warm and dry and its a very good handling car. Eats up the corners with ease, they corner very flat. The turbo is always eager to boost and give me all the lovely torque. Some pics I took at lunch time just cos:D
sounds like the injector to me. That's how I diagnose the 3 that failed on my old 172 cup over the last 3 years. Got one of eBay for £29.99 posted magnetti marelli too. Don't go to ecp as their expensive and their discount codes don't usually work for the injectors. Gsf do weekend codes for...
Wish I was going. Spending 12 hours at work smashing in some overtime.
Weather will be awesome. Hope y'all have a good day. Post up some pics obviously;)
So what your saying is your scoobs is a money pit......
Mates got bugeye and has spent 20k on it. Granted some of that was a forged engine rebuild but he's always finding ways of spending cash on it, mad b*****d.
All modified cars are expensive as we replace/fit stuff that normal people dont...
Love how you thought a builder would clean up after! I can only think of a few times when a builder has cleaned up the mess left behind.
Fair play on your patience. Must be chomping at the bit now to get cracking on the car.
As above. Get some plastic ones.
The centre console I just Brillo padded the sh@t out if it and then sanded it back and whipped the dash top off to respray it..
Injector most likely. You'll only get a code if its a failed injector and the eml flashes up.
Mine was intermittent so had to wait until it misfired whilst driving and leave the obd reader plugged in.
As soon as the eml flashed I ran a scan until I got a code telling me which cylinder it was...
Everytime I think of getting a quick wash as I've not got time to do it myself, I always remember posts like this!!
Better dirty for an extra day or two than swirled by the polish hand car wash...
Good job
