Admire your perseverance...! Should do a short shift mod on the box whilst it out. Makes a hell of a difference on reducing the throw.

My 225 cup.. ideas needed please

Capsicum red, nice. Rough idles could be spark plugs, coils, injectors, lambdas or a compression leak. Any of the above really and more. I'd start with plugs, check if they were done on the service. Did they do the oil and filter on the service. With a Gsf or euro car parts discount code it's...

Yep missing a ballstud there. I can't imagine how frustrating that was.. I've learnt after years in a bicycle workshop and receiving incorrect parts to check before taking old stuff old as otherwise tools could be heard thrown across the workshop followed by many expletives.... :-D:-D...

Is respraying alloys silver ever a good idea?

Aftermarket strippers have to be so safe nowadays they're almost useless. First time I used nitromors, 1995 it was the b****cks. Used some a few years ago for a similar job and it was terrible by comparison.

Your right about false economy. Takes alot of time to prep them for a decent finish. I did a repair and refurb on a single wheel and that took long enough, rewarding as you say but I'd pay next time. If only to get a really glossy finish.
