    Tempt me from my CZT...

great cars. If you want the 'involved' feel the 172 cup is the no frills options. No aircon/climate just fan dials. No abs, wider suspension, lighter wheels (turinis), less sound proofing, lighter interior ( no half leather seats). Great cars, lots of fun and can be challenging to drive. I've...

    182 Clutch adjustment

yep, they bite high and heavy. Unless its slipping or crunching on a gear change I wouldn't worry. They are self adjusting although you can unhook the cable from the clutch lever, push clutch all the way down and hook the cable back up. Sometimes makes a difference sometimes not. Clutch lever is...

good write up. I've never really 'got' the Mini thing but each to their own. There's certainly nothing subtle styling wise...:D

Door opens - no cabin lights??

Door opens - no cabin lights??

idiosyncratic French electronics question. Cabin lights work, map reading light works. Footwell leds work running off the same circuit but here's the thing, when I open the door nothing, nada, zipp happens. Anyone had a similar issue that can shed any light on it (pun intended:D).

My Iceburg 172 On The Up!

looks good. Love an iceberg cup, rare especially with 182 wheels.

    So much better, Eibach's fitted!

agree. Apex's just make it feel like your smashing your car up one bump at a time, horrible springs. Eibachs ftw.

    Power steering fluid loss

Is it affecting the steering? Mine went a bit vague and woolly a few months before it had to be replaced. The fluid was collecting behind the gaitor then it spray the sump and gearbox periodically.

Just discover i have been driving with no air filter!!

I would do this. Could've done thousands of miles without one. You buy from a dealer to protect you from this sort s**t. Get a full refund as your legally entitled now by law. You don't have to give them reasonable time to put anything right anymore. Money back and buy a well looked after one of...

New member looking at potential purchase, seeking information.

yep, noticed that as soon as i got my cup. My first 172 was an iceberg so was pretty understated but the cup is a knob magnet sometimes. Usually Astra vxr/sri's or Honda type r's ep3's are the worst for wanting a dick measuring session on a public road... I'm 39 with 4 kids, I'm not interested...
