Help please.. have I broken my car?

@Davyy unless your in a hurry I got an injector 3weeks ago off the ebay for £29.99 posted. Genuine or magnetti marelli one too. Ecp are expensive and gsf is only worth it with a discount code on the weekend, they work out about £35 ish. Get a strap tool for the filter. I wouldn't go at it with a...

At speed it wasn't too noticeable but it felt as if something was a miss. Having owned for over 2 years I know it well so knew it wasn't quite right. It would feel like it was gonna stall at stops and just felt a tiny bit hesitant when accelerating and more Smokey on start up and idle.

sounds like mine did tbh. A bit rough and lumpy, more than usual and the slightest little popping sound at the exhaust. Is it quite Smokey on tick over, alot of cloud coming out the exhaust as that's what mine was like.

you'll need yo whip the rail off to check. Get a piece of cardboard inbetween them and the engine crank it over and you'll have a pattern to look at. If its really obvious you'll see it but tbh it doesn't tell you much. The only of knowing is to swap em out or you get a fault code. When my...

remove the fuel guard rail at the front, 2x10mm nuts. Go steady as the studs can shear off. Wiggle it off and now you have access to the injector rail. Unplug each one. Disconnect the fuel line, on your left as you look at it. Its a squeeze and pull jobby. Do it wrapped in some rag as you'll get...

Failed MOT - replacement parts help

I had a front imbalance 2 mots ago. Just popped the pads out cleaned the caliper and seals. Popped the piston out to the point where it was nearly all the way out and just kept pumping the piston in and out. Took it for a drive and slammed the anchors on repeatedly and got them hot. Retested the...

nope, they're both the same. I did it with mine. I think its either 22 or 24 mm spanner needed. Sounds like its running rich if it petroly smelling, lots of inburnt fuel. Does it pop and bang when driving? Got a be either coilpack, ht's or lambda to run rich surely. Have you replaced anything yet??

    what this part called???

that looks like a MAP sensor if I'm looking at the right bit. The exposed wires shouldn't be causing any issues unless there's a break in the wire somewhere. If the sensor is faulty it might cause some idling issues.

    Slight misfire, no eml...

Sounds like mine was before Xmas. I had one injector fail which gave me an obvious misfire. I unplugged the ht one at a time from the coilpack with it running to see if the engine sound changed. All 4 were firing but when I unplugged number 3 the engine note didn't change so I knew it was more...

if you remove one ht at time and one isn't sparking/arching then that may be your problem. Had a coilpack go on me with similar symptoms, lost all power to cylinder 3. They are prone to failing when they get old. If they're all sparking then it could be either the ht lead, plug or injector...

its annoyingly easy where I work. Industrial estate with 2 major excavations going on for months now. 2004 Clio 172 idling issue

erratic revs/idle could be a number of things. Vac leak, failing injector(s), map sensor, coolant temp sensor, lambda sensor(precat usually) to name the more obvious ones on here. The throttle body could be clean visually but still faulty... have you had any warning lights. Do you have a basic...
