Yes but the box won't last long use the correct shafts and hubs and brakes and gearbox IMo for simplicity sake.
It will fit yep mounts are the same entc wire the engine up stand alone etc and your off its a good idea if it weren't for a 172 engines conversions being so cheap and more powerful...
Rear shoes normally need just a clean they should be done at service but few places do.
Disk and pads I'd only ever use the feror FDB 845 £17 ish form halfords as well as othere then disks are only cheap.
You 99.995 most likly want the259mm disk on your car most computers say your will...

Be very careful there 3 typres of rear shoes used 2 are for the smaller shoes and one is used on the larger shoes only way to be sure it so check but usualy the cars have the larger setup its the only ones Halfords etc keep ins tock...
Yep but the wiring etc is a bit more complex hence why few bother they use the 1.8 or the better valver head and the botom ends form megans and williams etc.
Err where did th 2.2 liter bit come form all 172 and 182 are 2.0 liter
Map sensor is at the end of the intake bit which says renaultsport (its on the R of renault sport bit)
Throttle body is at the other end of the bit and has a pipe to the air intake.
TDC sensor is between the engine...

A/C is just bulky and stuff and a pain only in that respect.

£6k will get you a goo choice personaly I'd go for the youngest one you can afford.
I know what you mean yep your right you've got the diagrams there the isseus is the looms arn't there so you'd need to wire in all the looms and switches get the ECU swoped and then get a connector so you can connect the extra wires to it then chnage the stearing wheel.
