Because becausse most users don't say thats how that have done it or they havn't got it to work or they've gone done a full swop and added the hydrolic PAS system. or gone to a manual rack.
16V_jon has an electric rack working on his car with a 172 engine he drew up the looms he used if you...
Quite a few cambelt kits don't come complete 172 in particular.
Single cam the 1.2 16 V engine is just uses rockers to run the valves.
Renault don't supply the cam seal since you don't need to the camshaft has marks on it just need to bolt etc the crack in place. thats eaither an improved...
The straps are corrsses to help hold them in the right place and tried to be kept short to stop them stretching when your braking hard/crashing.
For a 4 point I'd pick the top rear mount.
Why will the 1.2 owner be braking harder firstly there not going to be going as quick and cornering speed depends not so much on the car but the driver.
Same goes for risk its not the car its the driver skill which matter. I've seen good driver on less of the limit going quicker than other...
You did a search and say the huge long thread and stuff but didn't see the answers well i'll have to say quite honestly I don't think you researched much
Yep can just remove the rack need to remove the pas pump from the system I'd leave the electric rack or go to hydrolic setup. The manaul...
haynes covers most of the stuff you'll need I've got a 172 manaul mon the engine but realy its not to stupidly difficult.
Fred and Edde book sounds a good idea though.
Depends there the ones quite a few on here have which just bolts to a few places. otherwise there a few more top spec being the Cup cage type
I'd not bother unless you have ahrnesses cage etc and are using the car for somehting whoch a cage is needed and your willing to accept the...
What exactly are you looking for wise?
Renault don't share the wiring diagrams but people on here do have copies who can hlep you.
A few places ie Haynes and audodata etc have wiring diagrms but there not as good as the proper renault ones.
Either spend a lot on a fancy one or just get a one good enough to please your insurer.
At the end of the day if they want the car they'll have it regardless of what you do.
Re: One standard, one well good. Put the well good brake system on front or back?!
What exactly are you looking to know?
Just get stock and accept its sperb for the price otherwise pay a lot more and upgrade the whole setup.
If you've got original Renault them they'l be good for a lot more unless you curb the car or pot holed the wheels.
Forgat any other type Renault all the way
There great for reoad use a bit soft for track there no idea coilover for all uses though.
H and R come in a few spec levels higher level stuff is fully adjustable but expensive and realy excessive for most owners.
Take the sunroof out and clean it all up and you'll fine where the holes should be else you have to strip it and down areplace the seals.
But if its in the fottwell check the drain seals under the scuttle panel and also the door seals plus air con filter if you have it for blockups.
What setup are you using?
ANy garge can do a setup to a degree best off saying what type of setup and driving you do and peopel will make recomendations on a good setup.
Best springs don't exist IMo eiback are the best if thatsd the right terms but to get a better setup you have to pay a lot of money IMO.
I'd keep away from any other springs than that.
The car won;t be damaged the setup ins't ideal and damper life is reduced but since there no good check...
Re: Standard vs uprated brake pads
He's a part timer.
On the flip side they can squeek when cold harder race pads get worse and worse then there the extra cost plus many of them arn't road legal. Plus they were the disks quicker. Plus there insurance who should be told.
