as sash said, these engines get coked up, i use the mrs 65 once a week, it will get a good thrashing in second gear on the limiter for a few seconds. doesnt smoke one bit and its done 130k. when they plod around town all day thats when they become smokey, egr vlaves get blocked etc.

i got a 1998 306 d turbo in 2009, 103k original belts. they were shot to s**t when i took the off, there was about 10mm of side to side movement in the aux tensioner.
