where is the sensor located and is it easy to do? Mine being a bit slow to start some times so might try this. Any help or even a pic would be really helpful, cheers.
as mentioned a remap is cheap and gets a few more horses. Strip it out takes about an hour to remove rear bench and door cards. Reducing the weight gets you some free performance. Lighter wheels as the standard 172 alloys are a bit chunky, that'll help acceleration and braking. To get loads of...
I put a sport (silenced) centre section on mine. Still loud over about 4k rpm but a bit more social able at low speeds. Kept the wife happy as she said it was too loud before... Would say its more likely you have a phase 2 system running off a 182 manifold. Probably changed so the ktec system...
No idea where those numbers are from. Just checked gsf and can't see them anywhere, all I know is its the premium option. This weekends code is sept43 if you don't have it. Cheers.
@NorthloopCup might be able to help with gearbox info? Clutch is around £65 from gsf with said discount code, its they're premium option, not listed as valeo but it is. I was quoted £200 to fit mine with new oil, nearly half your quote. Local garage is not the place to go... Don't give up, it...
Finally after 3 visits to the garage got an MOT pass. Attempt 1- New steering rack needed £££, new pads and discs all round needed. Rear o/side brake showing no power on test. Attempt 2 - Sourced used rear calipers, from here obviously... New rack fitted and polybushed as why not.. New pads and...
interesting project. Liked the 3rd pic alloy options. Don't know what they are as I'm not a wheel spotter! Do what you want to it, its your car/cash/time. Bit of stance would improve the rear angle as the clios have wide ass'..
never seen the point in them. As said previously why not cover the entire front of the car if your that worried, why is the bonnet so important. They spoil the look of any car they're put on.
call GSF before you reserve to check but usually they're premium option is a valeo kit. I know because I got one a few weeks ago. Apply discount code for this weekend sept42 for 42% off brings it down to about £64.

yeah all those unforseen issues are why I paid someone else on this occasion. Had the tracking done by a local Evo specialist and that's made a difference too. Feels so much tighter on the front end now.
yeah feels alot tighter. To be fair the steering went a bit vague, almost like there was a dead spot just off centre both ways a few months back. Once the tracking is c**k on it'll be great. Most places struggle with the tracking as I've got a 300mm OMP wheel so its pretty unforgiving when...
can't understand why he didn't sort it out while fitting your exhaust. Unless he under quoted the job and just couldn't do anymore for the price? Most places would have called you and asked to spend more time/money on it to get it sorted.
@MrBlonde rack fitted. All good. Old was knackered and seeping fluid from drivers side seal/gaitor quite badly. The fitter (who now probably doesn't like me or clio's too much now) said it was and arse of a job to do. He said the feed pipes were the worst as there isnt alot of room under the...

new steering rack and powerflex purple rack bushes. New discs and pads all round. Just need to tweak the tracking and bed in the brakes and then fingers crossed pass its re-mot...
