That's the 172 cup, poverty spec! Joe's is a 182 cup so has the mod cons with a cup handling pack so to speak.

    Clio 182 clutch??

Mines doing something similar so I'm replacing the clutch as I'm pretty sure it's on the way out. Clutches are around £110-£120 from Ecp or gsf for the own Valeo ones. Not sure on labour costs though, £100-£200 at a guess. If you sign up the gsf and Ecp mailing list they do promo codes all the...

Should the state of this plug worry me?

misfires in my experience on these cars are either the coil pack failing or an injector failing. These seem to be the most reoccurring causes. 4 is the closest one to the oil fill cap so they fill up with fluid more than the others.

Should the state of this plug worry me?

wouldn't worry. The spark ends look ok for old plugs and they are slightly more important. Just a bit of corrosion on old plugs I suspect as water and oil get down there quite easily.

Clutch pedal feel, travel and bite point.....

I've had 2 172's and they both had short travel heavy clutches. Had a spin in somebody else's 172 on the weekend and it was the same as both mine so I say this is the norm in my experience.

    misfire?

Sounds like a failing injector. You wont get a fault code coke up unless its a prolonged misfire. Had a similar issue with mine and took 2 weeks to narrow it down to injector 4 failing. Had to keep driving and then wait for fault code, scan it then swap it with another injector, drive it and...

    PowerFlex Rear Exhaust Mount Bush

I fitted a red one recently. It took an hours swearing but got it in there come the end. They are tight and not helped by the fact they squash as your trying to press them in. I wonder if it's because you got the black ones and they are solid. I do get a bit of resonance at full chat but adds to...

Can someone suggest a meet place venue within 30 miles of Bristol ?

Got rained off mate. Only 3 of us confirmed so we thought we'd postpone it and hope for better weather. No new date set yet. Probably do it CSF now. Maybe the 8th July. I work shifts so can only do every other week and weekends are hectic as I have 3 kids and one on the way! I'll post it up in...

Bristol RS Clios and other French stuff.

To be honest mate probably not worth it. If it was clear and sunny id say carry on but the weather isn't great and that'll probably put of few people off. We'll rearrange I reckon.
