LOL, cost to change, a concept lost on so many.
'Yeah, but I got a great f***in' trade in..."
Indeed you did, while paying full sticker price. Well done.
I had an epic moment the other night, late, clear roads, roundabout, being a dick. Thought I was going to hit the kerb. It came back just in time. Phew tbh.
There are huge advantages...like having a heavily modded 172 Cup and getting fully comp insurance for £270 :approve:
I'm easy date wise. Seperate thread for suggestions?
You'e thinking of the track increase over a standard 172 - think it was +20mm up front and +10mm at the back.
Some of that was from the Cup wheel's offset...can't say what the rest of the increase came from though.
Revs hurt an engine if the oil is cold, so keep the revs down, but give it the odd burst of relatively hard acceleration while you do it. The more fuel you burn, the quicker the oil heats up, so a squirt or two helps it along.
I've done this from new for 125,000 miles and it runs as strongly as...
Forgot to add that if it's track wheels you're after, a set of rough-ish looking 15s can be had for £50.
I've got 3 spare sets with wets, semis, and crap road tyres fitted with the used track tyres coming from members on here, and I'm down about £600 all in. Bargain.
Aye.
Generally speaking, there's a wider variety of rubber available too. It wasn't that long ago you could only get one or two types of track tyre in 195/45/16.
In 195/50/15 you're spoilt for choice.
As for worse handling on 15s? In 195/50/15 the rolling radius is almost identical, so the...
OK, time for a pic or two then...mine's almost the same spec in terms of weight removal as your except I've only replaced the one front seat, and I've not got any cage. Other things gone you've not mentioned are carbon canister, power steering, engine undertray and bonnet sound...
Mine sounded exactly like this one does - a diesel.
One new cambelt and de-phaser later, and it sounds exatcly like a RS Clio should again, lovely :approve:
Hope yours gets sorted.
Relatively speaking, cars take an age to warm up if just left ticking over. All the while you've got nice cold oil sludging about. When an engine runs at its worst, you leave it like it :S
Much better to drive it, give it a few squirts, and generate some heat.
Leave your heater off for the...
Mine's on 125k, just had a new cambelt, dephaser, runs as good as it always has done. On the RR in six weeks to see if it still knocks out close to 190.
In short, if looked after and driven enthusiastically, I think they'll keep going and going.

Re: help plss how can i stop the big jumping wen it spins in first i keep breakin exh
Treat the throttle as something you squeeze rather than simply switching it on or off. You don't have to give it full beans in first.
So you were as good as stationery, under yellow flags, and he ploughs into you and claims you are at fault?
WTF? Needed a smack really, you did very well not to!
