That looks good, who cares about the heatsoak. If you're happy with how it drives, and more importantly how it sounds, that's all that matters. Shame you couldn't make Haynes today...I could have done with some support LOL.

Haynes Sprint Track Day - The Media Thread!

Saner made it back OK then? Such a shame...organises the day, then has to leave early to get home and beat the fading light. Good to see everyone as usual. Nice to put forum names to faces...I now know who some of you are!!! The Ignis continues to impress me, handled all I could throw at...

RS Twingo Acceleration Vids. Updated P3.

Re: RS Twingo 0-100 Run... Impressive that. Pulls very well for such a loooooooooooooooooong first gear.

Focus RS500 vs. Clio 200 Cup [Brown Bear will appreciate this]

I'd buy a 200 Cup and chuck 20k at the mortgage personally. Double the cost, for a gain of circa 3 seconds on a track, and consumable costs to make your eyes water. No thanks.

A brilliant weekend in the Vee.

    Such dainty hands.

Beaniemoo bodied, 172 engined Mk1 finally on track video

Nice to see that out on track at last :approve: Out of interest, where did you end up power and weight wise?

    Lunar Grey Time - £14k

Great colour but what is that on the back? WTF was the owner thinking?

The Clio On Track at Last!

Looks good, but need the video!

    1.2 compared to a Sport

There's a lot to be said for this. Faster cars can be hugely frustrating unless you have the space to enjoy them...which can be rare. This is why I love my Ignis so much, flat out, everywhere, and it handles/feels just like my Cup.

    South East - Go Karting

Oooooh, £55 is too much for me for a 30 min race...I thought it'd be more like £30 or something. I'm out.

    Nod's Lambo

I agree with the above. Confused or retarded though? I'd say excessively excitable.

    Cup seats vs standard seats?

Eh? Non airbag Cup seats and 182 seats are exactly the same except for the airbag and the cover material...which doesn't affect comfort.

    clio 182 brakes upgrade (nice)

I don't think people are saying that, just that it could be done for a whole lot less. Lines, good fluid, HC discs and good pads = circa £300. Four pots = circa £1,000. The four pots will give you NO better on road performance, so that's £700 spent on looking good. Or not as the case maybe...

2 idiots in an Abarth, video inside

LOL At 2:56 whan you HAD to be on your side for an approaching car, the left hand lane middle-point was almost exactly in the centre of the video footage. A lot of the rest of the time, the centre point was to the right of the centre line on the road. You were on the other side a lot of...

    clio 182 brakes upgrade (nice)

Good spot? How could you miss it? All cool points lost IMO. I think most viewing this thread must have been blinded by the awesomeness of big brakes.

LOL I thought that too. Or are all Brembo logos on brake calipers like that?

    FAO Lee... F1 Championship

LOL I'm sure you sweated blood and tears to bring it to market, but f*** me, you're a lucky b*****d being paid to do that ^^^!

2 clio RS in worthing yesterday

Was the 172 Monaco Blue? If so, they guy's a bit of a tool, drove up the ass of my Ignis last time I saw him and he's made of cast iron so doesn't need to ever wear a seatbelt.

Yep, update looks pretty comprehensive...not that I've experienced a single glitch myself so far...be good to know I won't :approve:

Define 'open race'? Start and end, or just an open pit lane type thing?

I second the corners like a 172 bit. I have more fun on the road in mine because you can just stamp on the throttle mid-turn and drive hard on the way out whereas in the clio you're always having to hold back a little.

Whos got a spare £335,000 for this gem?

    Comes with new tanks?
  23. MarkCup

can you remember the first time you drove cupo 172..

My first drive of a 172 Cup, of any Renault ever in fact, was the long way home after it was delivered, brand spanking new, to me at my work. I did almost 200 miles that night just to cover the 35 miles home.

Noice fleet. Glad to see you got the proper Cup too :approve:

    Roll cage camera clamp/mount

Have you looked at the B. Hague range? From memory they make just about any type of clamp/mount you can think of.

    new car Abarth 500

I've always thought that, you've been waiting for it to arrive, then just sit there looking at it. You could have that run in in 48 hrs surely?

    clio 197 or clio 182?

How did I miss this comedy gold?! Brilliant, just brilliant.

    matched inlets or decat?

So is this RS inlet thing (along with no drag from an aircon pump) why Cups generally outperform their siblings on RR days?

    FAO Lee... F1 Championship

'Reduced Penalties' is an option under difficulty settings is it not? Don't know if 'No Penalties' is though. Edit: just realised you're talking Time Trials, so that rules out the above I'd have thought.

    FAO Lee... F1 Championship

I agree, no aids is where I want to/will be, I'm just breaking myself in gently.
