What, with this specific music track?
I've had 5 of my vids pulled up over copyright issues but they've all allowed me to continue using the tracks and they plaster ads over the video. One one of them there's even an advert with a direct link to iTunes to buy the track I ripped off!!!
The Cup has its rear brake bias set at the factory, and the rear brake effort is very, very low.
My Cup has done 120k miles, and the original rear pads lasted for more than 90k, that shows how little they do.
As said above, the Cup has no ABS so with the forward weight balance, it is very...
Re: ***How much is my car worth?***
I've got everything...except the;
power steering
headlining
steering wheel
airbags
parcelshelf
radio
speakers
turinis
working speedometer/trip computer
foglights
Hmmm, maybe not then.
They grow on you!
As said, they're a proper driver's car, great feedback, and a well controlled body for such a high stance.
Cost wise....I only recently got mine below 40mpg over a whole tank but that did involve doing a day at the recent Airfield sprint.

Did he say how old/new it had to be and what gearbox it had to beat a Clio? Or does he insist they ALL do regardless?
Re: ***How much is my car worth?***
What if I put it back to standard? I could return everything to normal fairly easily except for the power-steering?
I'm trying so hard not to, but the accountant in me says I should. Iggy has dulled the love affair somewhat.
Re: ***How much is my car worth?***
Hmmmmm, I thought that might be the case...very limited appeal I guess, even for such a fine, well performing example of the breed LOL
Re: ***How much is my car worth?***
LOL at CS history.
I've not decided to sell it yet...it's just the mortgage is nearly gone now, and the Cup gets used less and less so I'm struggling to justify it costing £1,200 per annum before its even turned a wheel (MOT, VED, insurance, service)...
Re: ***How much is my car worth?***
Never thought I'd be posting in here, but;
172 Cup, 53 plate, 120k ish miles.
I'm the only owner from new and have had it serviced every 6k miles - 1st couple of services were carried out by Mike at Linnington's Renault before he setup on his own as...
We were whupped by a diesel van ;) I blame Clarkie and his creative 'handicapping' LOL
Great day, weather was good, banter was good, cars were good, track was good. What else is there to add?
Graham in the Jag gets my vote for hero of the day!
It's a loose surface in places, but you're not following anyone so stone chips are non-existent. Worst you get is a side of the car covered in mud/dirt from going sideways so much.
Bet £20 anyone could spend if they enjoy 'driving' as opposed to looking.
Re: New to Forum, just put deposit down on 172 Cup, please help with couple of questi
They're genuinely good enough as they come.
Body roll aplenty, but on standard springs/dampers you'll have a blast on track, very provokable but very forgiving.
I'm on my 3rd set of standard...
I think I did all right getting just the fixed penalty. He was alright and dealt with the whole thing in under 5 minutes as he could see Emily was fast asleep. Served me right for poor housekeeping.
Could have been a lot worse.
I got stopped with no MOT in our Focus - thought it was because my rear numberplate was starting to discolour and my jaw hit the floor when he told me I had no ticket.
He commented on the four brand new Dunlops it was wearing and my youngest who was fast asleep in the back, gave me a fixed...
