Re: Will a crash in a works vehicle with business insurance effect my personal insura
Doesn't sound lazy to me.
Was anyone injured? If not, leaving you to sort it out yourselves is standard practice. Why do you need a policeman to make sure you all swap details?
Re: Will a crash in a works vehicle with business insurance effect my personal insura
LOL
The first quote above is from a representative of an insurance company, and still you think people on here 'know s**t'.
I give up. Pass me a shotgun, I'll do myself.
Re: Will a crash in a works vehicle with business insurance effect my personal insura
So, being aware of the extra load you were carrying along with the faulty brakes, you made no allowance for the extra distance you knew it would take you to stop? Clever.
Of course you have to tell your...
This post pretty much sums up why I don't spend anywhere near as much time on here as I used to (present circumstances having been made redundant excepted).
Re: Track Car Nurburgeing Toy
This is the exact reason I started running loud coloured wheels...once you've been sat up their ar*e for a session they might remember when you come into their rear-view again. Doesn't work though. Nothing does except a late lunge at the appropriate time!
Make sure you budget to get it changed again if not done already...it's due within 12 months so would be worth getting it done straight away for peace of mind.
Re: Track Car Nurburgeing Toy
LOL, get used to it...it seems they have some kind of invisible field at times! No one acknowledges or moves...I've become a bit more aggressive when trying to pass these days, always safe and never reckless though...as I didn't pay £300 for a day to drive no...
To the OP, your standard engine has bhp 146 at the wheels (we all know that mods like yours release f*** all extra horsepower in reality, mine's similar mod wise, and I get 2, maybe 3 extra bhp). There is nothing wrong with that. The RR you used only factored 12.5% for drivetrain losses, which...
Nope, been pretty quiet. Registered with all the usual agencies, got to final stage interview for a maternity cover position at Goodwood, got nothing but positive feedback but ultimately lost out to a lesser qualified candidate, grrr.
We've cut back expenses where necessary (got a huge...
Lots of time spent giving the Cup a thorough clean over the last couple of weeks (been made redundant!), still rough as f*** close-up (battle scars aplenty), but I think from a distance it's not too shabby.
Headlight correction and a change from yellow to black on the tow ring next :)
I've learned a lot since doing that video...when hard on the brakes I swivel my whole ankle now as per Nick172Cup, helps overcome inconsistency when your brake pedal goes long mid-session...have found I can squeeze a bit more from the brakes instead of having to back right off and wait for the...
I've no idea on lifespan. I'd have thought track tyres are pretty sensitive to temperatures though...as they're not designed to function (and one would think be stored) in sub-zero conditions. Wife's growling as I type this as she think's I'll be filling the space behind the sofa with spare...
Yup. Stored in a shed so probably 30 degrees in the summer, and -2 in the winter...not good.
So glad it held together, s**t myself when it happened. It's swollen like that all around the circumference so something's let go deep within!
Whatever corners you intend to cut...don't!
I ran at Goodwood recently using some track tyres that were well over 7 years old - visual inspection showed no signs of the rubber perishing, and they had enough tread for a day and being a cheap accountant I thought I could get another day from...

Enter standard on one side, then what you want to compare on the other...gives a summary at the bottom of how likely you are to rub etc.
As I understand it the guy on the gate makes his decisions on the spot, then once past him, someone else decides if you're deemed worthy, clean, and unique enough to grace the track or end up parked in the paddock,
That looks like a pretty serious diesel spillage, I've come off a bike twice in the past before I learned to look for (and smell) the signs of danger from countless commercial vehicles with overfilled tanks. Also pirouetted (sp?) almost completely at sub-20mph on a diesel soaked unlit roundabout...
Now that's how you photograph a car for sale, none of this arty-closeup-shots-down-the-front-wing-taken-at-stupid-angles-meaning-you-never-see-the-entire-car b****cks.
Looks nice, good luck!
I'd prioritise a brake fluid change if you've not had it done in the last 30k miles or so. It's a weak link, and could ruin the day no matter how new your pads/discs are.
