Really sorry for your loss, also glad the 'shouldn't have been speeding on a public road' brigade haven't ruined the thread, we've all had some fun and some 'moments' he was probably having a lot of fun to the end.
I think it looks pretty good, tbh I think the design peaked on the 4/4s with the Ali surround chunkiness, 5/5s isn't great IMO Hope it wears better than my 5, it's worn through to silver on a couple of the sharp edges.
Not done much with the clio recently as I'm skint, hopefully get out to play with it next month, for now just having to be content with doing odd jobs. Fitted my rear shims to get the toe where it should be and had a go at being a carpet fitter to tidy up the rear :)
Great start, sounds like mine when I got it with a dent on just about every panel lmao
Hareness should be crossed at the rear to the bar as it's more than 18" from the seat back btw.
very true if the car is actually for sale and not a scam. When I was looking it had recent brakes, clutch and white paint, K tech coilovers and whiteline arb with almost full powerflex bush kit, ebay half cage, stealth exhaust, 2118s with Toyos and one bucket seat/harness.
I find my cooksports very comfortable, not really much different to the Eibachs that were originally on there but I prefer them, certainly a better looking drop.
Depends what you're using it for. Personally I wanted a Cup for track work, no abs and no AC, with rubbish seats I'd be ditching. If it's a road car I don't think it would be a great daily choice tbh. That said, the cup for £2600 looks like a great car with sensible mods for the cash.
It's certainly not solid, or did you buy the black one? Mine added vibration, but I did it and the engine/upper box mount at the same time, but really not a lot, nothing rattles inside! Worth loosening the bolts and rocking the engine back and forth, then re-tightening
I bought my car with a bolt sheared of in the front hub. Drilled it and used an easy out (extractor) which also sheared off inside the bolt!!!!!!! Ended up welding a nut on it and winding it out, utter pita
