Twaddle. Had it in my Focus, drove that thing for two years, honestly only ever had the a/c on once in that time.
My latest mini-beast has it too...I'll turn it on once a month to stop the seals drying out but that'll be all it gets.
Amen. This is the UK, not Antigua.
I did think that Chris, got a Fiat dealer in my village so would have made sense...but I'm a skinflint accountant at heart and despise spending money so went with the cheap option.
Managed to find excuses to have to go out several times today...seating feels a lot more natural now, and I'm...
Kind of, saw one that was too good to be true so snapped it up. Pics and speedo video in my "My new car" thread. I'm finding every reason I can to drive it at the moment, it's such a laugh.
Video now up.
Watching it again it actually pulls alright in 4th once it gets going.
LOL it still takes about 25s to reach 100.

40+ mpg easily achievable, front or rear discs + pads are £80 a set, when you wind it up it really gets up and f***s off. I LOLd lots on the way home...the brakes are phenomenal, and the pedal set up is perfect for heal/toe and/or left-foot braking. In short, it's a rally car, built so Suzuki...
Focus was on it's way out, 4 corroded springs at recent MOT and 124k + lots of wear and dings.
So...I've been thinking about one for these for about two years now, and last night finally thought "f*** it" why not.
Decided on £2k cost-to-change as a limit and hoped for £1k on the Focus...
Of course it is.
Do those doubters really think K-Tec would tell you to take a running jump if they failed the day after you'd fitted them?
How often do you receive anything in the form of warranty documentation when buying other car components?
I'm on BT, have been for years. Have a wireless netgear router permanently connected and never switched off. We've never been without service, and the speed is constant.
A1 service really, but then I expect that for the price tbh.
Nice vids, remind me of why I need to do Cadwell, no other track in the country like it.
Looked like a fun tussle with the DC5, the extra power clearly showed. I had a few laps behind a DC2 at Rockingham two weeks ago, 1st one I've ever seen on track and I was a bit disappointed as I was...
As above...yes it does.
Going from a 45 profile on a 195 width to a 45 section on a 205 width, would be like running a 47.5 profile on a 195 in terms of sidewall height.
I'll get me coat.
I've run mine on 195s, 205s, and even 185s over 120k miles from new...apart from ultimate grip level and a bit of tramlining variance, I can honestly say that I've never noticed a difference in 'handling'. Feedback doesn't vary much, and it still responds as I want it to regardless of what boots...
Just to be clear, jon_r's scrubbing wasn't down to ride height, it was down to cornering load.
So the height at which they don't scrub for some, will probably mean they will for others...all depending on driving style?
I was impressed by jon being impressed by them and his car looked OK on...
Sony DCR-HC18E on a B. Hague headreast strut mount for the forward facing, and on a B. Hague suction mount stuck to the inside rear window for the rear facing shots.
Keep trying to justify getting an HD camera, but I'd have to get a bigger HDD in the desktop to cope etc. etc. etc...so can't...
