Not on track, no. I'd go for the 24-105 over the 17-40. For cars you really want 50mm minimum and as you have the fisheye, I can't see the wide end of the 17-40 being much different. I use mine the most out of my lenses. The only one I would use more if I had it is the 24-70 2.8.
