Cleaned the FRS yesterday and as I always go a bit further than some snapshots on the driveway I found a good location for photos:
First shot:
Terrible! Long, harsh shadows, blown out highlights and it's lit where you don't want it lit - straight through the grille.
Time to overpower the...
Garage is the reason I bought the house :D Need a garden shed to put all the junk and bikes in so I can get the garage kitted out properly with painted wall and a tiled floor.
Cheers!
197 bumper swap is still way down my list of stuff to spend money on. One day perhaps!
Spent most of Saturday on the car and by the time I was done it was dark and cold so took photos in the garage with some new lighting gear:
Normally they do interior shots like this in a studio to get the light, but you can DIY it with a couple of flashes and a white sheet...
How big are you wanting? 24" and a stand is only £35 odd:

There was the owner's GoPro in the car all day, but it did 1/4 lap before the batteries died. Plenty of vids from other times though like this one from Knockhill.
Skip to 2 mins 30 secs for the good stuff!
According to the people that built it (Tadstar) "Fully built the Fievo is just over 900kg" - Fast Ford Mag, June 2009. Scan here - http://djm-motorsport.co.uk/Fiesta_Evo.html
The bodyshell weighs next to nothing - the panels are fibreglass or carbon, plastic windows and all the strengthening...

Canon 5D MkIII, with a Sigma 50mm f/1.4 for these.
Looking at your K-Tec thread you've got the basics of composition right with the first image - rule of thirds, wheels turned, no trees / posts etc sticking out of the car. Perhaps take a couple of steps back, or leave more room when cropping...
Could be the site resizing them. Try viewing one directly - http://static.cliomods.com/gallery/2/adrianfrst/200-church-2-1280x720-509faec26f905.jpg Any better?
I'm usually very careful with this type of thing but it was very early and I didn't notice until I started going through the pics. I've removed it from the first photo and will sort the other too.
It certainly does! I only take pics when it's clean though so you only see this part of the...
Just keep your eyes peeled when driving around. Needs to be a very quiet (or closed) road so you can use the full width.
Living in North Wales helps too!
Following on from my Autumn thread, on the way home I stopped off at a location I'd got some nice shots at before. Just the right time of day when the light was perfect.
My apologies if you're sick of seeing this car. I'll shoot someone else's soon!
Already got three in there!
I've been looking since Autumn started, drove past this place yesterday on the way back from Snowdonia - caught a glimpse as I was passing so did a u-turn then went back and scoped it out.
The road is through an archway with gates so it's obviously private (but...
I'd already taken some photos of my 200 down a leafy Autumn lane but I knew I could do better, and yesterday was absolutely perfect - dry with clear skies so off I went looking for locations. I really wanted a long straight road with a total canopy of trees, leaves covering the ground and no...
That's on hold at the moment as I need the cash for other things.
They're not as yellow in real life, the photos have had colour tweaks to bring out the reds and yellows. Simple enough to fix though:
Some are a bit grainy as it was getting quite dark and I didn't have a tripod with me. The last one is a bit blurred as it was quickly snapped after the security guard turfed us out...
