Interesting, did you go for the PS4 or the PS4S ? I've read the PS4S are the natural successor to the Supersports, though I'm not sure on available sizes.
Mine have not shown any cracking on the outside, but the insides have failed twice now. Need to get the car into the garage to start a new claim with Michelin.
Reading reviews on Michelin webpage does show other people having early failures as little as 5k miles, these are on other vehicles.
Hi all,
I’m looking for anybody who has had their alignment checked on their 220 trophy and has a printout.
Also has anybody managed to get more than 12,000 miles out of a set of Supersports ?
I’m not on my second set of front Supersports In 24k miles and each time the inside of the tyre is...
1. One of those little innocent smoothie hats on my PH1 gearstick - Winter.
2. Cooksport springs - holds up to cornering well without being too firm.
3. m1144 pads - the bite was very good on mine.
4. Yanoo stiff shift kit for the gearstick - removed most of the play.
24k mile update, car was due it's first MoT but was slightly delayed due to covid.
No other issues have developed bar 1 - The Supersports have failed again.
Checked the tyres today and once again they have failed after covering the same mileage as the original set, - it appears Supersports may...
Yeah the Deox C is pretty harmless to anything but rust, but I would put bearings in too - they are an absolute nightmare to get out though (Had to use acetylene and a press on mine)
Looks like you have upper camber bolts too
You can get the radio code from the serial on the headunit if you are without (There used to be a page on here for it too)
Bilt Hamber Deox C is very good if you want to shift some of that rust, I done my calipers with it and they came out like new (Stick the part into a container and pour a hot...
I had a nightmare doing mine and must have done the process around 8 or 9 times before I was happy, I found after the rotations that it would be every so slightly out (Tool would go in but not wiggle) sticking a socket onto the end of the exhaust cams and applying pressure would actually move...
I calculated that too haha need power (In watt's I think it was) area of the car, drag and air density. Done the below based on sea level if I recall.

Height
1.417
Area (Width*Height)

It's possible now they are working on the Alpine this may also be part of problem, money focused elsewhere within the business. I got this impression from the mk4 too that they had shifted resource/focus/time away and was part of the reason the R.S.16 never came to be.
It really is a shame...
"As for why the hot Clio has reached the end of the road, Kasai put it down to strict emissions targets, making development of an affordable performance hatch impossible. Kasai said: ‘Today a Clio RS would need very elaborate technology to reach lower CO2 levels. And by keeping the high...
That’s quite sensible driving mostly in auto, my commute to work is rather short though so you may see low 30’s if you do motorway miles. Mine has never been over 35 across a tank.
I believe the 4rs sold very well in Europe but not so well in the UK, possible why the figures may be high but not often seen here.
I really do enjoy MK4 ownership, it is a very very good chaises (Best I've driven) but perhaps the engine is a little bland (Coming from the f4r) renualt admitted...
Looks a good example that, the ticking sounds normal from the video, mine's very similar.
Looks like one of the badges on the rear may have been removed, also the boot usually has the false floor in when you spec the BOSE package, the amp sits in the boot.
Get some photos/videos of the engine...
I think that may have been me ha I've seen 2 Megs and a 225 on those roads, the 225 was about even but the others walked away rather quickly :) I'll keep an eye out for you !
I've been tracking mine at the pump since I got it and I'm averaging 28.5 - mix of motorway and about the doors. 35 is the highest I've seen it across the tank, lowest 24.
From the top of my head:
The PH1's are numbered
PH2 has different alloys
Interior tweaks (gearstick different)
Exterior tweaks (RS lighting added, removal of trophy stickers from front blade)
The press releases are usually a good source of information...
Fingers crossed ! The fabled Fatty induction id suggest, good results on a low budget:

With that amount of oil I'd say it's likely to be the thermostat housing. Spray the area down with degreaser, Jizer is quite effective, then check across the bottom of the thermostat housing for seepage - there is a gasket on the part so it could be damaged or has been removed in the past and...
