Daft question but it's not catching on the arch liner is it ? Could also be the tyres if you've bought a set with tyres on them, if the previous car had no camber the tyre would be worn differently to what you have set.
As above I've got the 2.5" silenced system and it's by no means quiet, it's boomy to some degree (People sat in the back struggle to have a convo) Always wondered if a 2.25" straight through section would sound better.
I had this when the release bearing was on it's way out, also accompanied by a whirling/light grinding noise in the bay, lasted around 10k before it let go completely. Would certainty be worth trying the cable first, just because of the cost of a clutch change (Or the swearing involved with...
Hiya,
Does anybody have a wire diagram for a PH1 engine bay loom, fitted some parts yesterday and appears I've disturbed a wire - Car is cranking and fuel pump priming but it's not firing up (Fuse's are fine, no immobilizer and the fuel cut off hasn't popped)
Cheers
Paul
You just need to drop the subframe down a bit, there was a 182 manifold fitting guide in the guide section with pictures which may be helpful.

Hmm if the lug has completely snapped off the only option for repair would be welding I imagine. May be easier then removing the manifold, dropping subframe etc
Do you have a picture ? The fitting kit (springs etc) actually come with a cup which slips into the manifold - but it often looks part of the manifold due to rust.
I've seen a few seized slider pins from copper grease that hasn't faired well, apparently it causes rubber seals to shrink, which on the sliders would cause water ingress etc
I use silicone paste, it's expensive from what I recall, but it'll last for any future jobs
For a none-sport ? I have m1144's and they've squealed since the day I got them, seems common reading about. They do bite well and did fine on track (I'm sure it's sub par compared to dedicated pads)
The squeal get's old really fast, I'm going back to brembo pads when these die.
Tuition is certainly on my list of things to do, tee sides my closest track living in Newcastle, but I don't believe they offer tuition. Crofts would probably be my closest, but think it was certainly worth having a go before hand :)
A video from the later laps on the day, the track was closed for a half hour as a 172's wheel came off, so it's a little dark. The first corner after leaving the pit's was giving me issues, unsure if it's the uneven road or just too much speed into the corner. The tyres are around 32 PSI front...
I do suspect it's a combination of all the things you mention, unfortunately the car's my daily at the moment so I daren't venture into coilovers and bump steer correctors. When I originally built the car I was aiming for OEM+ so I'm hoping with some good rubber and tuition, I can make do with...
I was actually secretly hoping it was going to piss down yesterday so the tyres where at home, but alas it was sunny all afternoon ! They didn't seem to bad while I was out learning the track (Admittingly not carrying much speed, I nearly got lost on my first lap) but after warming them up, it...
Cheers everybody ! looking forward to getting out on some decent tyres and reporting back, then working my way up the mods. I believe I may have the bug !
I'll give it a bash, it's a shame the standard wheels look completely lost on the PH1 arches.
Does the wear across the tread of the front's look normal ? The rears seem fairly even, but the fronts seem to of had the edges of the tread eaten away on the outside. Sign I need camber ?
Would you recommend taking the front's off entirely ? I've heard having a wider rear track can encourage understeer, and they are a nightmare to remove :)
