Re: James/BigAsh 182 Race Car by TDF... It doesn't get much better than this! *Pic He
I remember seeing this car about this time last year in it's standard road car form up at TDF, I'm really impressed how much has been achieved by car, engineers and driver in that short time. Makes me wonder...
The sqeauling I can cope with, I think thats racey lol. But the knocking sounds like the hubs about to fall off, EBC have a rubber coating on the back of theirs, perhaps that's a solution?
That's just the thing though, mines not a race car and it'll be lucky to see a track either. Only fitted them as they impressed me for so many years in my 197 and with the 4 pot pin locking design they can't rattle so didn't have this issue lol!
Fitted CL RC5+ pads to the front of the 172 last night, at the time I didn't take much notice but these pads are missing the top anti rattle springs standard pads come with.

Currently owning both a ph-quick, whoops I mean ph1 and ph2 I prefer everything about the ph1. Dashboard, seats, steering wheel, looks, performance.
They're just a little bland from the rear end for my liking.
The front shocks last 6000 miles between rebuilds and mine are clunking when I turn heavily so I'm guessing they need a rebuild.
Searched Bilstein uk but nothing really comes up online, where can i get rebuilt and how much is it going to cost me? Pretty sure it's a common fault so plenty of...
Keeping in mind a set of billet catcams are superior in build and quality to a set of 197 OEM cams, the lobes are literally pressed onto a smooth shaft lol.
Are you mad? Clearly you haven't seen a ph1 next to a ph2. It's much like looking at a 197 and 200!
Not only are they by far better looking, they're lighter, cable throttle is a much better drive than the fly by on mk2s and ph1s are getting rare these days, abit of exclusivitiy is always nice.
Don't wanna start anything with any of the biking enthusiasts on here but the standard of motorcycle riding, particulary during commuting times, is disgusting. Cutting cars up, undertaking and riding bumpers most are still lucky to be alive. Cars are a danger to bikers? Bikers are a danger to...
