No money ATM so started with free mods, got the car stripped out in the rear, then took it to scrap yard down road and it weighed in at 960kg as it is, with 1/4 tank and still on standard passenger seat, so still loads too lose yet! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

£2500 will get you a well specced 172 cup which if your not after a nice car to daily it would be my choice everytime and what I'm currently on with doing myself, the mk1 mx5 will never be as capable on track as one (imo of course without blowing big money on it) I purchased mine for £1300...

i chose the spax due to great reviews everywhere i read, these at demon tweaks work out just over £700 as theyre full coil over front and rear. they're the only others in the price bracket i could find with adjustable dampening, the gazs do but have bad reviews and the bilsteins are too soft...

More progress yesterday, fitted the coilovers to the car, rear went without a hitch, set 20mm up from bottom thread each side. The fronts were a nightmare. Had to get the plasma cutter out and chop the drivers coilover in half that was on the car lol it was seized solid, luckily the heat...
