I've bought an ecu already mapped for the rs2 but going to a local rolling road tuning specialist to make sure it's running how it should and also off to demon tweeks to have the suspension set up correctly
So after owning a phase 1 Clio 172 many years ago and giving up on my mini turbo build I decided to look for a phase 2 cup.
this is what I found in may 2012
A straight Cup in pretty tidy condition with
new Vmaxx coilovers
2118 wheels with federal rsr tyres
Custom made exhaust
New brembo discs...
The place I had my done last was on a dyno wasn't just mapped and done it was on the rollers for well over an hour getting everything perfect for what I needed, the company specialise in this sort of work so I will speak to them first
It won't be driven until it's mapped, it's a track only car so can only be put on a trailer on the roads, with regards remapping though I know currently it has a super chip remap if I was to buy a rs tuner would this work as there is already a map on the ecu? Or if I take it down to the...
I've only just fitted the rs2 so hasn't been run yet apart from turned over, I take that I will need to extend this pipe then as I know it won't reach how it stands.
I've got my rs2 fitted but I've noticed that there's a connection coming out underneath that looks like a breather pipe goes too, does anyone know what it's for and if I just need to blank it
So their has been a few changes to my plans, gone now have the inlets and the ktec induction and in its place is the JMS RS2 which I have to say is a fine looking piece of kit!
Managed to get hold of a pair of oz f1s to pair with my 2118s with both sets of wheels going in for a colour change...
I have a set of what I believe is vmaxx coilovers but I have been looking around and they look the same as a set of h&r coilovers.
the rear shocks have h r inscribed in them but no stickers in the fronts.
how will I tell?
Yet another small update
managed to get my dad to move his car out the garage to let me in for a few hours to swap my shocks over. Got to say swapping coilovers for coilovers is the most straight forward job I've ever done and I still have 4 fingers and 2 thumbs!
