Hi, My insurance for the 182 is up for renewal in a few days - I'm with Greenlight at the moment. I would like to try a couple of track days this year so was wondering who's the best trackday friendly insurance company to get a renewal quote from? Who do you track day guys use? Thanks, Dave.

I've got a Ktec solid engine mount and polybushed dogbone both of which I fitted myself but I never got round to fitting the Ktec top gearbox mount (and it got lost in a house move). If it could be that I should probably think about buying one and getting it done.

I know, all in pursuit of rattle elimination. Well they sure stopped the exhaust moving at the back and removing the heat shield got rid of that rattling, but now it's just moved to the boot floor lol 🔨

Thanks for the suggestion but I already removed the heat shield. Pretty sure it's coming from the boot floor as a result of the solid hangers

Took the shafts off yesterday RHS one is two piece with a bearing roughly in the middle. ABS rings are 8mm. I have ordered a pair of Shaftech replacements

I'm wanting to fit some bucket seats and possibly harnesses in my 182 but not sure what to go for. I've removed the rear seats already so not really any need for reclining seats. It will be mainly for fast road and maybe the odd track day. What would you guys recommend?

OK, so how does lowering a car change camber? Does it make it more positive or negative?

Just wondering what else to bear in mind with regards to suspension geometry when lowering springs are fitted? My 182 has Eibach Sportlines - what happens to camber and toe when these are fitted compared to standard ride height? Do I need a way to adjust camber in combination with the lowering...

I forgot to mention - I also fitted Ktec solid top mounts at the same time as the Eibach springs - maybe this has had an effect?

Just to conclude on this I fitted new cup dampers and refitted the Eibach Sportlines and everything is now OK.

The car drove straight with the original settings of minus 1 minute toe out - sounds like it might just be roundabouts like flebay said and nothing to worry about (i.e. should have left well alone)
