I am yet to 'slam' it, but they are hard. Harder than usual and bouncy but of holds much better in the corners
But I much prefer driving with them on, it feels closer to the road and more racy
Cheers buddy, side mouldings are easy, the rear ones slide to the front until they click then they just fall off, the fronts are held by a little pin like thing, pop that out and they do the same but sliding to the back
yeh man, hopefully they will!
and dunno, the tyres are fat on there atm, but they are in great nic so would be a shame to throw them away
if i got new ones, would get some stretch on there
small update.
failed its mot last week, on 3 things, loose bolts on one suspension arm, exhaust leak, tie rod end.
replaced the tie rod end, tightened the bolts and used gun gum to fix the exhaust leak.
the leak is the joint with the cat and the center pipe. This is because i fitted...
Little update:
picked up my 15" bbs today for just over £50
very happy, great condition and plenty of tyre left :)
(sorry about s**t photo angle)
just gotta get them bored out and ill see how they look on the clio :)
Ahh sweet, I knew I saw this done before on cs just couldn't remember, now I do!
The car looks great man
I will start to look up and make calls round here
And yeh I've the same offset
Was It hard rolling the arches then? And I'm gonna go low anyway ;)
Cheers bud
Hey guys
managed to pick up a decent set of bbs from a bimmer for just over 50 quid
the problems are, center bore (57.1) on a e30 and the offset
whats the lowest offset i would be able to use on the clio and where would i go to get them bored out?
cheers
ben
Yeah I would say use the top of the box that the coilies come in to catch it all
And so are the roads near me Haha it can be quite fun bouncing around tho
And yeh, did you use best offer? And even if you did pay a little more there still cheaper than vmaxx
they do indeed!
and yeh i do like the standard 172 wheels, i would get them done in anthracite to match my bullets and maybe some cheeky orange renault logos on the centre cap, lol , but cannot find any close to me or for a decent price with postage
and the rear bumper is something im...
should look good :)
and yeh lol i will when i get some nice wheels, for the min these are a pile of w**k
found some nice black bbs from a beemer, but the cb is way too small :/ boring would be the only option and i have no idea where to get them done
never too low!
haha
but seriously, ive put it high for the min to let the springs settle then ill lower it and get her all cleaned up and get some nice pics
the springs were alright actually, i used a socket wrench and fired them, the first into the air (not clever), the second into a box which held all the bits fired off
i like the way they feel, been driving round today all fine, my road is a s**t hole so its a bit bouncy, gives me a better...
Haha I used so much, I didn't have a proper socket set either kinda used spanners and stuff, lol
One of my rear springs had snapped, so I would have failed an mot anyway, I'll let you know about the ride and getting used to them
Update.
Fitted coilovers properly today, did it yesterday but did the top mounts horribly wrong, but fixed them today and its all good
only problem is i lowered it too much! and had to rush out to work
got a few pics, will raise it and take a few snaps tomorrow
Well i managed to fit mine properly earlier, lowered it too much straight away and will raise them in the morning
Youll have to do the same amount of work to use lowering springs, i didnt decompress my original springs properly, just kinda fired them into a box, with new springs and shocks...
You can get either a replacement rubber set
Or they do solid top mounts, haven't looked into them that much but they give better feedback and stuff, but you can probably imagine for an increased price
cheers man
ill check what ive done tomorrow too, will get a pic of the way they sit, its completely wrong!
and yeh i bet they have, i just cannot find a single one :/
even in the guide section!
id imagine someone did it for either these or the old rokkor /raceland coilies
its like big and little bros!
but its looking good mate, the wrap youve done looks prefect, wouldnt have the colour myself, but its certainly eye catching and stands apart from all the black and silver n/s reps on here
nice car :)
yeah, i would, but they are kinda on the car atm, its on axle stands so theres no pressure
this is the set
the fronts are what i cannot fit, the back i think ive done correctly
from that picture i took the rubber bits off the old shock (only the rubber bit)
toook the nut off the top of the...
