    Cat Replacement Pipe for 172

I remember some lads in Portugal had removed the cats about this time last year and saw an extra 3 or 4 BHP when car was put back on rollers. Not much I suppose but the noise if you like that sort of thing is nice !

Opinions on lowering Mk1 172 please...

GirlRacer its higher at the back with a slight downwards slope going to the front. Chatting to a racer friend at work and he says that they do these sorts of things on cars to make them handle in a certain way. Apparently changing ride height and mucking about with the suspension can really...

    Mk1 and Mk2 Airboxes

K&N do a filter that will go in the MK 1 Air Box. The standard Renault part number is 77 01 030 196. This is also listed for the 25 V6 model and the Espace 2 V6. K&N list a filter for the above cars and Renault part number. This is K&N part number E-9131. I used to have one and it...

Opinions on lowering Mk1 172 please...

My cars got PI springs and Koni Shocks. Car sits nice and low now. Springs lowered car 25mm at front and 15mm at rear. The Konis are shorter than the standard shocks so car sits about an extra 10mmo 15mm lower with them on.

    172 Strut Braces & Brakes

Havent got a Scooby. If they go on then cool - may be able to do it on the cheap being Renault. If not then will pursue some other options. Will ring my renault motorsport contact and ask him as he race prepares both 172s and V6s and one of his mechanic should know.

    Viper kit fitted at last

Not sure about Viper, it is on the BMC so could be the same on Viper as well. You will need to take it out to clean it.

    172 Strut Braces & Brakes

Im having a front sparco strut brace fitted this w/e. Will let you know if it makes any difference. Have got Koni Shocks & PI springs and the car handles so much better than standard. Also brake wise am putting on Ferodo DS 2000 on front & rear. Will eventually put in higher spec. brake fluid...

    Viper kit fitted at last

I have definately noticed a difference with my induction kit as well. The key in my opinion is to use reasonably large bore heat resistant pipe that feeds air directly from the front of the car. My cold air feed is located under headlight with an air scoop placed in bumper vent - this is...
