    Well i like to centrally manage things which is what terminal services gives you. Having to rely on people leaving PC's on etc would do my head in. Problem with logmein unlike RDP is that people could see what your doing if the monitors on? (unless that can be changed I don't know).

    He will get the same bandwith with 5m or 90m though makes no difference. On another note, if you go external you must use external cat5e cable other wise you will get problems down the line.

    On a 100Mbps connection you should get a throughput of about 85-90Mbps, which is 12MBps so yeah.

    Used a lot of Seagate HDD's over the years, in a lot of servers and RAID arrays. I've not had that many failures on them to be honest.

    Those pesky .tmp files! I switched on auditing for file deletion for a customer as someone keep deleting files, bloody log gets filled with .TMP file deletions.

    200m Network Connection

    It's a cost effective solution and it does the job, there was no need for higher bandwidth. Running a cable between your desktop and switch is some what easier to do than digging up roads and laying fibre in the real world.
