If you dont mind leaving your PC on, Just stick 2 x identical HDDs in your PC and run them as RAID1 which is built into windows. No extra devices to look after and configure.

The chances of two drives going at once is higher with power cuts and surges.

I would plug the NAS into some type of home UPS device also just for the added protection :)

Does the weekly jobs run when you do it manually? Have you got notifications turned on also? write to windows application log if jobs fails?

They all let Malware through eventually (I have to clean a lot of PCs even if they are running Sophos/Symantec etc), MSE is free and does a decent job.

It says downloading but it actually installs from the disc.

Finally got it installed on the PC, bit of a nightmare with Origin. - Error with activation - I want to install off the DVD but your downloading? confusing! oh you are installing off the DVD but you're just saying downloading to confuse me. - Finally installed, but wait your downloading again...
